Do you have a PLAYMOBIL fan in your home? We have been fans of the great PLAYMOBIL lines since I was a kid. I grew up playing with my favorite sets (do you remember the classic ghost with the ball and chain, that was my absolute favorite) there were so many that were a blast to play with. I passed my love of playing with PLAYMOBIL to my daughter as well. Now there is a new type of PLAYMOBIL (new to me) that is specifically designed for toddlers! Your littlest ones who in the past had to keep away from the very small items in the classic PLAYMOBIL sets now have a line of toys just for them with larger pieces that are more simplistic yet still super cool PLAYMOBIL toys. 

If you are ready for adventure, you can set sail for high seas and new adventures with the PLAYMOBIL! 1.2.3 Pirate Ship and the 1.2.3 Pirate Island, both playsets are new from PLAYMOBIL! PLAYMOBIL! 1.2.3 features large rounded pieces and bright colors, these are perfect for toddlers! Simply steer the Pirate Ship with the rotating when or stand on the front and use the functioning water cannon, which can be filled with water! Once you arrive on Pirate Island, toddlers can practice their marching skills by placing the sea creatures in their designated slots!

PLAYMOBIL 1.2.3 Pirate Ship (9118): Set sail for the high seas with the PLAYMOBIL 1.2.3 Pirate Ship. With a bright and colorful design and large, rounded pieces, this PLAYMOBIL 1.2.3 set is ideal for toddlers. Steer the ship with the rotating wheel or stand on the front of the boat to use the water cannon. Simply fill with water, aim, and push the red button to fire! Ship floats for even more playtime fun.. Set includes two figures, parrot, treasure, and other accessories. Best for ages 18 months. Retail price is $24.99.

- The Pirate Ship floats and CANNOT be equipped with a submersible motor.

- An integrated air chamber in the interior of the ship prevents the boat from sinking, even if it is completely filled up with water. In order to ensure that its position in the water is as stable as possible, it is recommended that all small parts are placed in a central position on the ship.

- There is standing space for a 1.2.3 figure in the crow's nest on the mast (also suitable for a 1.2.3 child figure).

- An additional 1.2.3 figure (1.2.3 child figure also possible) can be placed behind the turning wheel. This standing space also has a clamping function for the figure, meaning that it stays securely positioned even in stormy seas.

- The cannon must be removed from the holder on the ship to spray water. Pulling the rod backwards with the spray opening submersed in water sucks the water in. If the rod is then pushed forward again, the water is pressed out of the spray opening. The cannon can be removed for cleaning and drying. 

This set is adorable set is perfect for the adventurer in the family.  When my daughter was little she was obsessed with pirates, she would dress up like a pirate and wanted anything pirates that she could get her hands on. I think this is because she loved Pirates of the Caribbean in Disney World so much… She would have flipped for this set. The Pirate Ship floats and the big cannon "shoots" with water! Kids love interactive toys like this.

– The puzzle pieces, turtle and mountain can be fitted into the latches provided on the base.

- The puzzle pieces are printed on both sides with different pictures: Triangular shape: Sea urchin/crab Kidney-shaped puzzle piece: Snail/starfish Oval shape: Barrel/opened barrel with gold

- The turtle floats.

This is such a cool set that goes along perfectly with the pirate ship. You need an island to get to after traveling on your ship right? What is a pirate without an island and a treasure? The island is full of fun “accessories” your toddler will love playing with. They will especially love the turtle, it floats!

Overall the PLAYMOBIL 1.2.3 sets have the charm, quality and details that you have grown to expect from the PLAYMOBIL company, just in a more toddler friendly version, so there are no tiny little pieces to worry about. But there is plenty of fun to be had!
