Wow 2018 is shaping up to be a banner year for Walt Disney Studios! There is plenty of action and plenty of fun to come. And finally a sequel to Mary Poppins!! This was a favorite of mine ever since I was a little girl, my grandmother would read from the PL Travers book to me as a bed time story. This holds a special place in my heart, and I am looking forward to seeing the film. And Wreck it Ralph is back! Yet another favorite of mine, Ralph is the best! February 16, 2018 – BLACK PANTHER (Marvel Studios) #BlackPanther
Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after
the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated,
technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his
rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s
mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable
conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced
with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the
full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his
people and their way of life.
“Black Panther” stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan,
Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright,
Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, with Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and produced
by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nate
Moore, Jeffrey Chernov and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. Ryan
Coogler & Joe Robert Cole wrote the screenplay.

Meg Murry is a typical middle school student struggling with
issues of self-worth who just wants to fit in. The daughter of two
world-renowned physicists, she is intelligent and uniquely gifted, as is Meg’s
younger brother, Charles Wallace, but she has yet to realize it for
herself. Complicating matters is the mysterious disappearance of Mr.
Murry, which has left Meg devastated and her mother
broken-hearted. Charles Wallace introduces Meg and her fellow classmate
Calvin to three celestial beings (Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Who) who
have journeyed to Earth to help search for their father, and together they
embark on their formidable quest. Travelling via a wrinkling of time and space
known as tessering, they are transported to worlds beyond their imagination
where they must confront a powerful evil force. To make it back home to Earth,
Meg must face the darkness within herself in order to harness the strength
necessary to defeat the darkness rapidly enveloping the Universe.

ruin puts an end to the universe.
Anthony and Joe Russo direct the film, which is produced by
Kevin Feige. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee are
the executive producers. Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the
screenplay.

June 15, 2018 – INCREDIBLES 2 (Disney /

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in
“Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the
spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of
Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day
heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by
the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging
superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the
family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together
again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
Directed by Brad Bird (“Iron Giant,” “The Incredibles”) and
produced by John Walker (“The Incredibles”) and Nicole Grindle (“Sanjay’s Super

and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named
Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over
three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and
Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger
(Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the
unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Disney’s new
holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse
Hallström and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale.

stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can
turn any task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda
(“Hamilton,” “Moana”) plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street
lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London. “Mary
Poppins Returns” is directed by Rob Marshall (“Into the Woods,”
“Chicago”). The screenplay is by David Magee (“Life of Pi”) and the screen
story is by Magee & Marshall & John DeLuca (“Into the Woods”) based
upon The Mary Poppins Stories by PL Travers.
“Mary Poppins Returns” will be released in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2018.
