Top 5 greatest things about Hershey PA during the Christmas season. #HersheyPA

*** I received lodging and admission to the park for the subject matter contained in this post, all opinions are 100% my own***

Ahh there is a chill in the air and the holidays are coming can you feel it? Decorations are going up and people are getting excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of our favorite parts of this season is talking our yearly family trip up to Hershey PA to enjoy all that they have to offer for the season. We have been doing this as a family for 15+ years. Every year, it just never gets old. What can be better than being with your family in the sweetest place on earth, enjoying hot chocolate, and seeing lights, shopping, riding rides, and just enjoying all that Hershey has to offer. If this seems like something your family would love I have to ask are you ready to take the family to Hershey PA? To get you even more excited about your trip I have come up with our top 5 greatest things about Hershey, the perfect place to visit for the holiday season.

1.   Hersheypark Christmas Candylane - This is one of my most favorite things to do in Hershey. We look forward to this each year. On select dates from November 10th to January 1st.  For a low price of $24.00 per person (kids 2 and under a free), you can visit HersheyPark and enjoy more than 50 of your favorite rides, including 6 coasters! Now including Hershey Triple Tower™ and Sidewinder™. Take time to visit Santa & The Reindeer! Did you know Santa and all 9 of his reindeer make a special stop at Hersheypark Christmas Candylane each year? Visit and tell Santa what you would like for Christmas, and see what reindeer look like in real life. The first time I visited here I was amazed, I had never really seen a reindeer and I was surprised at their size… All of the reindeer are here, even Rudolph!

HersheyPark goes all out with the lights, there are lights everywhere it seems, even in the trees! We love to search and see all of the lights for The 12 Days of Christmas, they are all there and we love to find them. Lights that represent songs you love, Santa, elves there are so many great displays to check out. Enjoy the festive lights & entertainment. Be amazed at over 4 million lights deck the halls of Hersheypark® in celebration of the season! Get in the holiday spirit with a choreographed light show, festive live entertainment, and more. Plan your stay with special rates and packages call (844) 330-1813 for Hershey Lodge Rates from $149 and The Hotel Hershey rates from $259.
2. Sweet treats you can only get during the holidays! – Sweets, sweets, and more sweets! You know this being Hershey means that you are going to have an awesome amount of chocolate treats to choose from and this is even more so during the holiday season. From the jaw-dropping King Sized Shakes to the brownies, cookies, cupcakes, and candy! This will be chocolate overload in a good way, enjoy holiday-themed treats and know these treats are going to be decadent and taste amazing, well because they are made with Hershey’s products. There were so many wonderful treats that they need to be highlighted in their own post. I will have a post dedicated to the amazing holiday treats at Hershey PA this will be posted soon.

3. The holiday decorations at the Hershey Lodge - From the roaring fire to the huge chocolate themed Christmas tree in the lobby The Hershey Lodge is immersed in the holiday joy. Take a stroll through the lobby and soak in all of the festive decorations. They really do such an amazing job. Just pick up a hot cocoa and relax in a soft chair by the fire and relax.  Better yet, plan to stay at The Hershey Lodge during your trip to Hershey PA, and really get to enjoy everything the lodge has to offer.

4. Life-sized chocolate House and all of the other goodies at Hershey’s Chocolate World – Ever see a chocolate house large enough to live in (well with the tiny house movement, you just may be able to make it in this tiny home!) well if you visit Hershey’s Chocolate World (a free experience, just outside of HersheyPark) you will see a large gingerbread house, made entirely out of gingerbread and candy. From the gingerbread shingles to the lollypop candy windows, you can just stare at this candy marvel and see a new candy, again and again, the folks who made this paid such attention to detail. After checking out the house you can visit Santa and get your picture. The big guy gets around, well he has to work double time, it is his busy season!  Shop and snack, there is so much to take in with your visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World.

5. The Holiday feeling. Can you list the warm and fuzzy feeling that the holidays give you? Well, I am going to list it, because when you visit Hershey PA, real life seems to stop and you are transported to a more laid back time. From the small town feel, a time to step back and enjoy our family time, I know my daughter is growing up so fast and I want to enjoy all the time I have with her. I look through older pictures and see how much my daughter has grown.  We always enjoy Hershey as a family and I hope that never changes. Hershey sparks what makes Christmas magical.
Have you ever been to Hershey PA for the holiday season? I would love to hear what you think about Hershey during this season. Is there something that you think I should have added to the top 5? Is visiting Hershey PA something you would like to experience with your family?

My husband has been there but our daughters and I have not. It's on our list though, hopeing this coming summer we can make it happen when we visit a friend in the area.

I would love to go to Hershey, PA. I think I looked into going before, it would be around an 8 hour road trip. I now want to make it happen this year, gorgeous Christmas appearance, my favorite time of year!
