Overall my family and I loved this film, it was highly recommended by a coworker and we just had to see this in the theaters, and it did not disappoint. The movie will make you laugh and make you cry, just make you feel. This is what makes a great film for me. I won't spill too much and spoil the film, but it is a must see! This film was nominated for quite a few Oscars this season, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Writing Adapted Screenplay, and Viola Davis took home an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her work on Fences.

I think that all audiences aged thirteen and up. Families and friends will want to discuss the subject matter. Everyone can in some way relate to the storyline because we all go through hard times. It reminds you that it's important to cherish the love of the people you have close to you. Actress Viola Davis really deserved all her acclaim. I also feel director-star Denzel Washington did as well.
