Yes Hershey PA is a chocolate lovers heaven, but there is so much more great
eats in Hershey than just yummy chocolate treats. 
Dining in Hershey is
an experience in and of itself. From the
huge selection of food options in Hersheypark, the chocolate (of course) the
fresh popped kettle corn, which smell is intoxicating, and just makes me crave popcorn
to the delicious meal choices. Hersheypark offers gluten free options and
plenty of other food choices even for those with the pickiest of pallets.
Remember if you do visit Hersheypark purchase a
refillable travel cup and you can refill this all season for only .99 cents,
what a great deal! 
After a long day at
the park we wanted to go to a more laid back (and closer to our hotel room) place
to eat dinner, we decide on The Bears’ Den in The Hershey Lodge. “The Bears’ Den, is a great spot for families, sports fans, and guests of all
ages, The Bears' Den offers
a fun hockey-rink atmosphere modeled after the hometown team, the Hershey Bears. Enjoy classic American
fare, 28 HD TVs, and an enormous 7' x 12' HD video wall tuned in to all the
sports action”.
Just come as you
are, in your casual wear for this restaurant. No reservations are needed and
are not accepted. This place will may
any hockey fan happy! As you enter the restaurant the walls are lined with Hershey
Bears memorabilia, photos jerseys and lots of interesting history about this
franchise.
We were famished, even though we snacked through the park
earlier in the morning, and we were excited to try some of the appetizers we
went with the, Spicy Capicola Flatbread,
House-made Flatbread with Garlic Aioli, Capicola, Pepperoncini, Mozzarella,
topped with Arugula in Red Wine Vinaigrette $11.75. This was a huge portion
that could have easily been a meal itself. The meat was flavorful and the arugula
wad fresh and had just the right amount of vinaigrette, it was good.
Next up for the appetizers was the Buffalo Parm Fries, Natural Cut French Fries, Roasted Garlic and Parmesan in Buffalo Sauce $10.00. These were a hit with my family, we like it hot and spicy and these fit the bill nicely.
I enjoyed a Hershey
Bears® Cheesesteak, Shaved Beef grilled with Sweet Onions, topped with Cheese
Sauce on a Steak Roll $12.75. This cheese steak was seasoned well, and had
plenty of gooey cheese. Being from Philadelphia, I am a bit of an expert on
cheesesteaks, and this was good. Not the best I have ever had, but it was a
solid cheesesteak.
My husband order the Spicy Smashmouth Burger, this burger
has Pepper Jack Cheese, Jalapeño Peppers, Hot Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion
on a Grilled Onion Brioche $13.25.
This was a spicy burger with a good taste,
the spice was not overwhelming and my husband really enjoyed this burger. He substituted
for the onion rings, they were huge! You could have worn them as a bracelet,
but they were too delicious to wear! 
My daughter seems to order the same thing everywhere we go.
A kids cheeseburger, that is her go to item, she orders it everywhere. She gave
this one a thumbs up.
When our check for the meal came, it was presented with a
nice handful of Hershey Kisses, what a sweet way to end a meal. Overall we enjoyed our meal at The Bears’
Den, and we will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

Visiting the town
where your favorite Hershey’s chocolate originated is a must do for chocolate
lovers like me and my family. Imagine a town filled with so many divine chocolate
treats from muffins, to shakes, to brownies to fudge to cookies to chocolate covered
pretzels (a personal favorite, there is nothing better than the sweet and salty
mix of a chocolate covered pretzel)

One of my favorite Hersheypark food options is
the Makin' Whoopie Pies! “With Makin' Whoopie Pies™ gives visitors a whole
new way to enjoy a Lancaster, Pa tradition, the whoopie pie. At Makin' Whoopie
Pies™ you build-your-own-whoopie-pie by choosing from a variety of from scratch
whoopie pie shell flavors and specially crafted filling flavors”.
I like to switch it
up and mix the flavor of the pie and
choose one flavor for the top and another flavor for the bottom. With flavor
choices like, coconut, chocolate, cotton candy, strawberry, cream cheese and
many more, mix it up and try something different. This is a unique treat that
is one of the best in the park, in my opinion.
If you are walking
around the park and need a snack or a cool drink asap, be on the lookout for
one of the great food carts and pick up a cool lemonade, or an iced slushy, and
some popcorn and you will be perked up and ready to enjoy more of the park.

A fact that I learned from The Hershey Story Museum was that
the Hershey Bears were originally called The Hershey B'ars, get it, like the “Hershey
Bar” but the name was too close to being an advertisement for the product and
the name was changed to The Hershey Bears, very interesting… Ok back to the
food, right? The restaurant itself is
themed as a sports arena, making you feel like you are in the middle of the
action. There are plenty of TV’s to watch your favorite teams and just take the
time to relax and enjoy a great meal.

All of the food and desserts look heavenly. If I lived near I would definitely visit- I love chocolate!
I would love to visit Hershey Park one day. Everything looks so yummy.
