Ever wonder how the world of Hershey Chocolate began? Visit the Hershey Story Museum to find out! #HersheyPA

*** I received lodging and admission to the park for the subject matter contained in this                     post, all opinions are 100% my own***

If you ever visit Hershey PA you will obviously get an immersion in the world of chocolate from the scents to the availability to just about everything chocolate, well it is Chocolate Town USA after all! But did you ever wonder how this world of Hershey Chocolate started? How did Milton S. Hershey start this chocolate empire? Find out all of this and so much more at The Hershey Story.
At one of Hershey PA’s most inspiring attractions, the story of Milton S. Hershey and the town that bears his name is presented through informative museum exhibits and interactive experiences perfect for adults, families and kids. For well over 100 years, the word “Hershey” has been synonymous with the Great American Chocolate Bar.
But before the world fell in love with his chocolate, Milton S. Hershey was a struggling entrepreneur determined to make a difference. Our attraction presents his legacy in permanent displays and special exhibits that change periodically.
While driving or strolling down Chocolate Avenue (where the streetlights are shaped as Hershey Kisses, some "covered" in foil and some not, now that is not something you see everyday) take the time to stop into a great history of Hershey museum, The Hershey Story.
This fun and informative museum is great for the whole family. The best part is, if you stay on a Hershey property hotel, for example The Hershey Hotel, or the Hershey Lodge, you get free passes to this museum for your entire travel party. If you are not staying onsite, no problem, the museum is affordable, tickets are only $10.00.
The museum is filled with exhibits and artifacts from Hershey including the man and the company. Learn about the history of your favorite candy... Mine of course is Reese's the most perfect candy ever! Find out about past candy, you may have loved and now is gone. Remember the Desert Storm candy bar? That takes me back!

I learned something I never knew about Milton S. Hershey his very first candy shop was located right down the street from my school. Yes the very first shop was on Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia, very interesting...

Learn about the History of the town of Hershey PA, and the beginning of Hersheypark and so much more. Stop by an exhibit and see if you can pack the perfect box of Hershey Kisses... Weigh the candy and pack the box can you do it right?

My daughter and I had fun playing factory workers for the day. We took turns seeing who could pack up the boxes of chocolate the quickest, it was fun, and harder than you think!
Overall we had a great time at The Hershey Story we learned a lot and had a nice afternoon out. Why not check out the history of a chocolate you love? You just might learn something cool, and you will love the great Hershey Chocolate Company even more.
Before you leave be sure to stop by the sweet shop in the museum for some amazing cupcakes brownies, shakes and more. We had to pick up a few before leaving, it was too tempting!

Oh my goodness. You have no idea how much I wish I could visit the Hershey Story Museum. I'd probably go all Augustus Gloop and try to eat everything. :)

I haven't been to The Hershey Story before -- perhaps we'll swing into Hershey, PA on our way down the east coast this year!

You had me at chocolate! This place looks amazing. I have never been to PA but when I do I would definitely add this museum to my bucket list.

That looks like a fun and yummy place to visit. That is really neat that the street lights are shaped like kisses.
