In today’s world who wants to be encumbered by headphone wires? They get in the way and get caught on things and all too easily snap. But what good are a set of headphones without wires? I’ve been using a Zune (I’m accustomed to people laughing at that statement) for years now, but my Zune is slowly dying and isn’t supported any longer and I needed to change so I’ve moved to using my iPhone as my source of work entertainment. I can leave my phone on my desk plugged in and charging and wander all over my office and have total control over what I’m listening to and not be encumbered by wires! The Shadows are wonderful headphones with 8 hours of listening on a charge and a range of 30 feet I can meander all over my office and still listen to my podcasts or music without issue. And if you’re familiar with Sol Republic (if you’re not you should be and if you’re reading this you’re familiar now!) the sound quality from the Shadow’s is what I expected it to be and that was exceptional. 

Sol Republic make terrific headphone in all styles: over the ear, earbuds, and wireless. They have what you need. Crisp sound with just enough bass, it’s really not all about the bass because if it were you’d hear nothing but thumping! The Shadows give you a full, rich sound that will make whatever you’re listening to pop. You really can’t get better bang for your buck.

Now that my phone is my main source of entertainment, thanks to the Shadows, if I get an incoming call I can easily answer it and not have to be on top of my phone, I’m in total control thanks to the controls located on the collar of the Shadows. And I’m an all-day wearer so I need something that’s comfortable and the Shadow’s hit the mark there as well. After a few minutes of wearing them I forget that I’m wearing them!

 Crystal clear sound with phone calls and music, a full days use out of the battery, comfort and terrific sound, what more could I ask for out of headphones? If you’re not listening to your music with Sol Republic headphones….well you’re not really listening to anything.
