I am headed to San Francisco! Be sure to follow along 9/29/15 – 10/2/15 ‪#‎GoodDinoEvent‬ ‪#‎MilesEvent‬ ‪#‎Waltagram‬

****Disney is providing an all-expense paid trip for me to cover this great event ****

Have you ever received an email that made you squeal in delight? I recently received an email just like that! I was recently invited to San Francisco, to attend a press day at Pixar. What? A press day at PIXAR?? Pixar has been such a big part of our lives, my daughter grew up loving Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, I could go on and on! Now I will be able to visit the place where these films came to be? This must be a dream right? No this is really happening!

I will be traveling to San Francisco with 24 other awesome amazing bloggers for a fun filled event. I will be covering the film release of Disney/Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur,  the In-Home release of Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out as well as the popular Disney Junior show Miles from Tomorrowland! The event will run from Tuesday, September 29th through Friday, October 2nd. Follow the hashtags, ‪#‎GoodDinoEvent, ‪#‎MilesEvent, and ‪#‎Waltagram to join along with the fun.
This trip will be packed with lots of new information I will share with you all from your favorite shows, new dvd and movie coming soon. On arrival day we will be treated to a welcome dinner to get each other acquainted, I look forward to meeting up with some old friends and meeting some new friends.
On Wednesday, September 30th, we will all attend a special press day for the In-Home release of Inside Out! This movie will be available on Blu-ray and Digital HD on 11/3/15. We will interview filmmakers and voice talent from both Inside out and the all-new short film entitled "Riley's First Date?”
After seeing Inside Out (we saw it 3 times in the theaters, we loved it that much)  really feeling for Riley, and comparing her to how my daughter acts being a 10.5 year old, it will be interesting seeing how the emotions handle "Riley's First Date?”. I know when it comes to that day, even if it is just a boy that is a “friend” I know my emotions will be on the edge with my daughter. Who will we be interviewing? We will be interviewing, the Director  of the short Riley’s First Date? Josh Cooley & Mark Nielsen the Producer of Riley’s First Date?

We will also get to interview some of the talented actors who did the voices for Inside Out, including  Kyle MacLachlan voice of “Riley’s Dad” @Kyle_MacLachlan & Kaitlyn Dias voice of “Riley” - @kaitlyn_dias   We will be able to interview my favorite character from Inside Out!! Phyllis Smith voice of “Sadness” & Richard Kind (voice of “Bing Bong”.  We will also be able to chat with Pete Docter , Director of Inside Out & Jonas Rivera, Producer of Inside Out.
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith).
The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.
That evening we will attend a reception at Pixar and screen footage from The Good Dinosaur this film is opening in theaters on 11/25/15. Have you ever wondered how the earth would be if dinosaurs still roamed around? What if they never became extinct?  Well with this film you can get a glimpse into a world where dinosaurs and humans roam the earth. We will get to chat with The Good Dinosaur Director Peter Sohn & Producer Denise Ream around the campfire for marshmallow roasting and a slideshow to hear stories from their research trips! Roasting marshmallows?? That is beyond cool, it is the little tings right?

While we are at Pixar we will be a screening of the newest Pixar short film “Sanjay’s Super Team”. Sanjay's Super Team comes from the daydream of a young Indian boy,  who imagines Hindu gods as superheroes, this will be the short that will be at the beginning of the newest Pixar film The Good Dinosaur. We will interview with Director Sanjay Patel & Producer Nicole Grindle.

"The Good Dinosaur" asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?  Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.

I have always been a big fan of the Disney/Pixar film shorts, with the most recent release Lava being my favorite. I look forward to checking out  “Sanjay’s Super Team” from what I have seen it looks adorable.
On Thursday, October 1st we will all attend a press day at Pixar for The Good Dinosaur, this press day will include interviews with filmmakers, animators and a tour of Pixar. That evening, we will travel to the Google Headquarters for a screening of the hit Disney Junior’s show, Miles From Tomorrowland followed by a panel that will be focusing on the importance of encouraging kids, especially girls, to explore STEM fields and how entertainment can play an important role.

Google Headquarters?? Yet another place I have always wanted to visit, heck I would love to work there! Who would not like to work at a low key cool working environment with a slide??!! Ok that seems much cooler than my office!
On the final day in San Francisco, we will be visiting The Walt Disney Family Museum this amazing museum  is filled with the story and history of Walt Disney. We will see original Disney artifacts and really learn the history of how the magic Disney came to be.
I am so very excited, can you tell? I love San Francisco, it is a beautiful city with bright blue skies and amazing views. Who will be our special guests we are interviewing? I am not sure yet, but as soon as I know, I will let you all know Asap!
