Father's day is soon approaching do you have a gift for dad yet? Well Kmart has some great gifts for day this Father's Day, at Kmart.com/FathersDay! Every year at this time I get to thinking about when I was a little girl and how my father influenced me to help me become the woman I am today. I look at my husband and his father and I can see how father's and son's have a different type of relationship from father's and daughter's.

It's a little more difficult to to bond over certain things with my dad since I was a girl. I'm not into hunting, I'm not into camping, I'm not into cars but what we have, what my father helped to cultivate is my love of antiquing and going to flea markets to try to find that hidden gem. When I was a girl we would spend weekends going from flea markets to antique malls and it was then that we had our greatest bonding moment's. 

I learned how to spot a good deal, spot real wood from fake and how to haggle to get a better deal. I've taken those lessons and I've been able to use them as an adult to get some great finds at flea markets and thrift stores and I'm proud to say I hardly ever pay full price! And I absolutely love to get a good deal.

The one thing for a person like me with a father that has a million interests is that it's really easy to find gifts for him and thankfully Kmart has an item for practically everyone of his interests. The only issue is to figure out what exactly am I going to get him. He loves doing things music so maybe some headphones, he also loves the outdoors, so I could go with a Northwest Territory Tent or a really cool bungee chair. 

He likes to think he can grill (he can't, but we let him think he can) so maybe I can get him a better grill....or maybe a personal chef....Kmart doesn't have those....hopefully they'll hear my pleas and have personal chef's by next year!
