I know what we are going to do today! Chat with Phineas & Ferb Creators and Executive Producers Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh #‎PhineasAndFerb‬event

****Disney provided an all-expense paid trip for me to cover this great event ****

Are your kids fans of Phineas & Ferb? You know the fun show that takes you on all sorts of wild adventures with that crazy duo and their friends. My family has watched and loved Phineas & Ferb ever since my daughter was born, she literally grew up with Phineas and Ferb. We have gone through the 10 years of this amazing show and have loved every bit of it, from the backyard roller coaster to the trips into outer space, (meeting Meep was a personal favorite) Phineas & Ferb have always been there to entertain us.
Well summer vacation has finally come to an end....it happens, it was inevitable and now the summer is over and it is time for the fun to end. In the last (hopefully not...) episode of Phineas & Ferb the gang wraps up summer in "Last Day of Summer," premiering Friday, June 12 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.
The summer season is coming to a close and it's Candace's last chance to bust her brothers. She is quickly foiled, but is presented with an opportunity to redo the day when she sets off Dr. Doofenshmirtz's Do-Over-Inator, which results in other consequences like rips in the space-time continuum, the shortening of days and the disappearance of her brothers. TV-G.

How was the Last Day of Summer? The Last Day of Summer episode was filled with everything you love about Phineas and Ferb, great contraptions, fun gags, and lots of laughs. I don't want to spoil anything for you with this episode, but I have to say it has a nice ending...and you just never know Phineas and Ferb may have another summer of fun, or have some specials? We can hope? If not we will always have these past classic episodes of Phineas and Ferb to love and enjoy.
After we enjoyed the "Last Day of Summer" episode it was time to chat with creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh.  I have to say on a personal note, these were some of the most friendly and genuinely stand up guys I've ever had the pleasure to meet. They truly love this show that they created and feel almost as if these characters are a part of their family. Saying goodbye to Phineas and Ferb was not something they took lightly, they both were emotional and showed how much these characters mean to them. How do the creators of Phineas & Ferb feel about Phineas & Ferb?

We were treated to a Q&A with creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. Here are some of my favorite questions from our interview:

Q: After 10 years and many episodes, do you have a favorite?
A: Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh: We have many favorites, if we were pressed to choose a favorite it would have to be the roller coaster episode because it was the episode Swampy and I did ourselves. Summer belongs to you is also a favorite… the songs really stand out.

Q: Has anyone ever said that you (the Phineas And Ferb show) inspired them to be an engineer, or changed their lives?
A: Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh: You would be shocked at how many
letters we get of people telling us you got us through a really dark time.... You inspire my kid to be more, more creative..

Q: Two years ago, the contract was in negotiation… why was it time to end the show?
A: Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh: We have been doing the show for 10 years, and we felt it was a good time to get out before the show feels tired.
There’s a whole new batch of kids that could start in episode one.

Q: What is up next for you guys?
A: Dan Povenmire & Jeff “Swampy” Marsh: We just sold another show to Disney called Mikey Murphy’s Law. This is a good follow up to Phineas, it is a completely different show but it has the same positivity. With this show, everything  that can go wrong will go wrong, like Murphy’s Law.. It is about meeting adversity with positivity. Choose to look at why your life is exciting.

According to Dan and Swampy, never say never for a return of Phineas And Ferb, you just never know!? Oh and  are you wondering where kids can go to get 104 days of summer vacation?  Well my daughter sure wanted to know this answer, she only gets 86 days and would love to get some more… Unfortunately the only place to get that awesome 104 day summer vacation is Danville a major city in the Tri-State Area, the home of Phineas And Ferb!

Why so many days? When the series was being created and the theme song was being written the question was asked… “How many days are there in summer vacation…?”  After a search the amount of 104 came up and they went with this….. However the 104 amount was the total amount of days in summer not summer vacation.. Oh well I don’t think ♪68 days of summer vacation♪, or ♪86 days of summer vacation♪ just does not have the same ring as ♪104 days of summer vacation♪. The song just works, and if there was a way to move to Danville my daughter would love to do it.

After the Q&A session the guys had a picnic with us, we chatted more and just had a great time. Dan Povenmire (who also voices one of my most favorite characters in the world the zany, Dr. Doofenshmirtz,) I told Dan how much I loved the show and Dr. Doofenshmirtz as the fan girl in me came out, I was a bit giddy when, Dr. Doofenshmirtz said thank you to me! In the voice! That was so cool!
This was such an amazing experience it was like hanging out with some old friends and talking about favorite past memories. Be sure to catch "Last Day of Summer," episode which premieres FRIDAY, JUNE 12 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD and simulcast on Disney Channel. It is an episode you and the family will love.
