Teen Beach is is a phenomenon, from costumes to dolls, kids and adults just adore this movie so much that ‘Teen Beach Movie’ is the second-most watched TV movie on cable ever! Wow! I know my daughter and I contributed to this figure, she has watched the movie almost each and every time it has come on TV... She knows the songs and the dances she just loves the fun family friendly movie. When she found out that I would be meeting and interviewing Chrissie Fit ("Pitch Perfect 2") aka CheeChee and Jordan Fisher (Hollywood Records recording artist) aka Seacat she was super excited!
I have to say, I was pretty excited, after seeing this movie so many times myself, getting to meet some of the stars was great! When Chrissie Fit & Jordan Fisher arrived at the Disney Channel Studios they seemed to be as excited to be there as we all were. They were so down to earth and sweet. We all had a lot of questions for these two talented actors. Here are some of my favorite questions from the interview with Chrissie Fit & Jordan Fisher:
Question: Did you start as singers and then get into dancing or did you do both at once? How did you get into it?
Question: In the movie you said you wore a (hair) piece this time. Was it hard to move around, and dancing, and keep it place?
Chrissie Fit: Yes. It actually was. More so than the first time when it was all my actual hair and because you know I was doing my BUBBA-BUBBA and like feeling that thing go BOOOM-BOOM! It was kind of distracting a little bit. It was definitely like a lot better for my hair, all that teasing and stuff. I felt like it was more maintenance. We have to get that beehive going again then I probably would do my hair again.
Question: Can you tell me about rehearsals? How long was it?
Jordan Fisher: It was just a year ago this week we started. It was one choreography for about 3 weeks here in L.A. Then we moved to Puerto Rico and we rehearsed. We rehearsed there for another week or two. Most of the time spent in studios and the choreography happened more closer to the end. ‘Cause it’s so much time spent you know on the beach and different terrains and you know different weather….. but that put us in top physical shape.
Chrissie Fit: I was not in top physical shape.
Jordan Fisher: Well she was filming a multi-million Blockbuster… (Pitch Perfect) in Louisiana….
Chrissie Fit: I missed all their rehearsal and conditioning. I like was eating Jambalaya and Crawfish. I would get videos sent by them of the choreography and kind of in between takes have to learn to shoot choreography which obviously was just in the movie. It’s incredible and it’s very fast and it’s really kind of just like on another level. So I didn't get to condition. Shucks! I commend them so much ‘cause they did so much work before hand and I kinda’ just like skated in and got 3 hours of practice guys. Let’s do this! [LAUGHS]
Question: What kind of advice you have for an aspiring Musician, Artist, Dancer?
These two young actors really have strong heads on their shoulders. They not only talked about the movie to get the word out for the release, they were just as interested in giving us some great advice for ourselves and our children. Believe in yourself and do what you love that is what will make you happy in life. If you want to do something in life go out there and work for it, start at the bottom and work hard, do your best and you can achieve your goals. Don't give up and don't take no for an anwser! These two were very inspiring.
Of course being bloggers, we are all hard at work with our heads down, doing our best taking Chrissie & Jordan's advice to reach our goals and getting ready for what is next. After this fun interview we were treated to a Teen Beach 2 dance lesson be sure to check out that post to see some steps to Gotta Be Me from Teen Beach 2.

Question: Did you start as singers and then get into dancing or did you do both at once? How did you get into it?
Chrissie Fit: I am not a Professional Dancer, although Teen
Beach 2 makes me look like one. I am Cuban, so I grew up in a household where
we were dancing Salsa, Meringue it was a very dance kind of loving family. I was a singer and then I became an actress
so I don’t really have a dance background.
I think I learned the most doing Teen Beach Movie and I appreciate it so
much.
Jordan Fisher: It’s a different kind of dynamic. You walk into a rehearsal full of a bunch of people that you watch on So You Think You Can Dance and incredible choreographers and incredible dancers and like you, you walk in. I’m an Actor. I walk in I’m like, “Okay here we go…let’s get, let’s get this going.” I had a crush on a girl in the 5th grade who joined the Drama Club and so I joined the drama club. I started acting and singing and dancing all on the same day when I was 10.

Question: What kind of advice you have for an aspiring Musician, Artist, Dancer?
Jordan Fisher: There
are a lot of people that come out to, to L.A. and move to New York with the
idea of becoming famous.Typically those people don’t find success in their field
because their, their passion is driven from, from a very different place in the
people who do what they do because they love it that tend to find success. Because
people gravitate towards people that all have their like-minded. So understand why you're doing it firstly. Secondly, don’t take no for an answer.
Chrissie Fit: I would also say it’s not like a sprint, it’s a marathon. Have patience, educate yourself. So much of my artistic choices that I’ve made have come through education. Apply yourself, give everything you do 100% because then it’s more likely the thing that you, you invest the most time in you’ll give 110%. Don’t give up. Keep it up.

What a cool experience! And I'm sure it was so much fun seeing everything in first person. I'll be checking this movie out with my older kiddo!
I have seen these two dancing in several videos. What fun they make this movie seem like it will be.
