Flying high on Dumbo! And a sneak peak of Inside Out! #InsideOutEvent #Disneysmmc

I was invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration conference. I paid a conference fee to attend. I received a discounted rate for my stay. All opinions are my own. I have not been compensated or asked to post about Disney .

Our Saturday started off bright and early. We were up at 6 a.m. to get ready to head over to the Magic Kingdom for our family ride experience on Dumbo. We didn’t know what to expect and were excited to see what we had in store for us when we arrived at the park. We were taken into the Magic Kingdom via a back entrance and it was neat to see some of the behind the scenes things that are well hidden away from the guests.

All these years I’ve wondered where the doors that were near Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin led to….I know now. A parking lot! It might sound like something mundane to see, but to a Disney veteran, it’s the things like this that get us excited. I guess that makes us weird…
We walked through Tomorrowland and headed on back to new part of New Fantasyland where Dumbo is, once we got there and saw the set-up we now got the gist of what was going to happen. A few Dumbo’s had Go-Pro camera on their ears and that would be able to capture your family’s ride on the flying elephant. That’s when my husband wondered out loud how the three of us would fit into Dumbo! We always ride 2 then 1.

With a 10 year old who is almost as tall as I am it would be interesting to squish into Dumbo. We did. It was awesome. And my daughter had a wonderful time making Dumbo into a lowrider, she bounced him up and down like no tomorrow. All the while we were laughing and totally forgot the camera was only inches away from us. It’s amazing what getting on a ride in Disney World can do to you. It transformed the adult’s into children and turned the child into a giggling ride operator. This was an experience we won’t ever be forgetting. And we’ll never look at Dumbo the same way again and that’s a good thing.
From the park we headed to Downtown Disney to see Pixar’s latest film Inside Out. We were informed that we would be getting to see something rare, the movie at this point wasn’t totally finished and we’d get to see about 2/3rds of the movie. Before the movie began we were able to load up on snacks and drinks and since we were hungry we really loaded up!

Those mini muffins were to die for. I honestly don’t know how many my husband consumed but it had to be close to a dozen. Along with the muffins we each had a box filled with food that was slightly better nutritiously than the muffins. The box contained carrots, yogurt, cheese crackers and a cereal bar that was really good.
Before the movie started we were given a preview of the season two of Star Wars Rebels, it’s a show my husband watches and was excited to see the preview but what really got him charged us was the preview of Star Wars Episode 7 The Force Awakens. He’s seen the preview already but when you see it on a huge screen with huge sound it’s a totally different experience. He actually had goosebumps. Soon after the movie began, I’m not going to reveal anything but I will say from what we saw this is another winner.
After the movie we had some alone time to do what we wanted so we headed on over to the Studio’s. We were able to ride Toy Story and Star Tours and wander around the shops and just taking it easy. I did grab something I was looking forward to trying the churro milkshake.
It was everything I hoped it would be. After the Studio’s we headed back to the hotel to rest! It was late and we needed to get back because we had to get up early for the fun run (my first run ever!) and breakfast and the closing of the conference. I was looking forward to it and not looking forward to it, I really didn’t want this trip to come to a close!

Our favorite ride is Toy Story Midway Mania over at MGM. Dumbo is fun, too, though.

Hard to chose a favorite ride at the happiest place on earth! I have favorites at each Disney park especially the roller coasters.

I really can't decide which one my favorite is. They're like children. I love them all equally but differently. =D

Our favorite ride has always been Splash Mountain. We have yet to take our daughter to Disneyland, but will be aiming to take her next summer when she is old enough to appreciate the happiest place on earth!
