Need for Speed, much more than just a video game! In theaters today 3/14/14 #NFSmovie

From the time I first started dating my husband I knew he was a gamer, he loves racing games and the one game he has been fixated on since 1996 has been The Need for Speed. I remember playing it a few times with him and realizing I'm not very good at racing games but the game has endured for 20 years now going from platform to platform keeping up with the times and now it's made it to the ultimate platform a major motion picture. Gamers out there, isn't this one of the best all time car games? Well to me it was my favorite.

 The funny thing is I got to see it before my husband! He's the one who loves the game and cars and I'm the one who got to see it before him....he wasn't too happy.

The Need for Speed hitting theaters this Friday stars Aaron Paul as Tobey Marshall a mechanic who was framed for a crime he didn't commit. The action in this movie is heavy, the driving (which required all the stars to take extensive driving classes) is amazing and the fact they used zero CG was amazing. Those crazy stunts you see on the screen really happened, this movie wasn't green screened.

  If you're a car fan especially a fan of the Ford Mustang this is a movie you'd like. My husband fresh off of driving a Mustang for the past 3 years salivates every time he see's a commercial for this film. This is an action movie, it's not a dramatic character driven (no pun intended) movie. It's about action and cars and cars and action. If you're looking for a period piece this isn't the movie for you, if you're looking for a frenetic face paced movie this is it.

  Along with Aaron Paul the movie also stars Dominic Cooper (Mama Mia & Captain America,) Imogen Poots (28 Weeks Later,) Michael Keaton (yes that Michael Keaton,) and Scott Mescudi (better known as rapper Kid Cudi.) A classic Hollywood revenge movie involving fast cars and slick stunts, it's not Citizen Kane and it's not supposed to be.

  I liked it, and I am sure my husband would love it, and he will be in line first day I am sure. This would make a great date night movie, and I would recommend this action packed movie, it will keep you on the edge of your seat!
