I love to bake! When it comes to parties or get togethers I am the person who volunteers to bake, just because I love it so much. Our Take:

I was very fortunate to be able to try out a cake mix and frosting combo from Duff, the new Pink Camouflage Cake! Duff's cake mixes are just like the ones used in professional bakeries. One package of this cake mix makes one 9"x13” cake or two double-layer 8” or 9” round cakes. Duff’s Premium Cake Mixes use low protein, low gluten flour, which makes for a lighter, fluffier cake.

You can’t make a great cake without the right tools right? Well you can get all you need to make professional cakes right from Duff too. I was also able to check out the, Duff™Pan Starter Kit which includes:

9 inch Round  Anodized Aluminum Pan -1ea
8 inch Weight Anodized Aluminum Pan -1ea
6 inch Weight Anodized Aluminum Pan -1ea
Decorative Wires - 8ea
Seamless Tip Decorating Kit - 15pc

If you purchased this kit alone the cost would be $119, but if you purchase this kit it will only be $29.99, that is an amazing savings!  Now off to make a pink camo cake.  The steps were a bit different than the usual  cake mix. Sure there were a few more steps but nothing that was hard or took that much more time. 

To make you simply had to mix the cake mix normally, then separate the mix into 3 bowls, then add the cool colors as directed. When the colors are mixed and ready in the separate bowls, you have to drop spoonful’s into a cake round again and again until you are out of mix and the round is full.

 This was amazingly easy to make, and really seemed like it took hours to do (shh it will be our secret) but it did not. I have never made a towering cake like this, but it was fun to make. The baking kit had all the tins and frosting spreaders I could ever need.  A must for all bakers and the cost of $29.99 cannot be beat.  What to make next? Decorated cupcakes? Or my own fondant? Well I am up for anything, and with this kit it will make having fun baking in the kitchen that much easier.
