 Dr. Natalie Geary is a Harvard graduate and completed her MD at John Hopkins School of Medicine. She is the author of the best-selling book The Food Cure for Kids and co-author of a new book with Dr. Arthur Agatston The South Beach Diet: Gluten Solution. Dr. Geary also has extensive training in developing countries and the needs of children, both ongoing and especially in crisis.  

Trained in medical anthropology, psychology and pediatric medicine she has devoted her time to the needs of impoverished children both in the USA and abroad. As a member and advisor of many relief organizations, she established a non-profit, mobilepediatric.org as a “clearing house” for donations for children, insuring that the generosity of others gets delivered into the correct hands. The goal is to provide relief and ultimately sustainable support for children in need.

We were very fortunate to be able to check out a variety of GOOD bags. There are four varieties from ages one and up, organic bag, a 1 and up gluten free bag. For the bigger kids there are 3 and up organic bags, and 3 and up gluten free bags. The costs range from $7.99  - $10.49 a bag

Each specialized bag is slightly different, but are all packed with great treats and fun items for play.  I am always looking for healthy snacks for my daughter, snacks that are healthy but taste good. Because honestly, if a snack is healthy and tastes like wood…. she is just not going to eat it.  So I want to be sure it tastes good and is good for her. How would a snack picked by a pediatrician taste? Well my daughter could not wait to find out. As soon as she saw the bags she was hooked. Kids love “surprise” goody bags, and my daughter is no different.  The bag she loved the most was the Good Bag 1 and Up Organic & Nut Free – Travel Pack. 

Sure she is well over 1 years old, but she is a kid and this was filled with kid friendly snack and fun. My daughter especially loved the Late July® Cheddar Cheese Sandwiches, and the Plum Kids® Blueberry, Oats and Quinoa Pouch. The crackers had a great real cheese taste, and they were devowored quickly… The Plum Kids® Blueberry, Oats and Quinoa Pouch was different, but my daughter squeezed and enjoyed. I love that the snacks were healthy and yummy.

My daughter is a big fan of art, so she loved to doodle book, and got right on to drawing and coloring in the book. She also loved the collectable toy, which was a cool iridescent green bouncy ball. It is the little things in life that kids love, and that is what keeps me young too. We are always on the go, and traveling. This would be great for our next trip to Disney World, what type of snacks are there in the airport or on the plane?  Usually not too good for you chips and candy.. I do not want to fill my daughter up with sugar in general but definitely not before a trip. 

It will be no fun for anyone to have my daughter be restless because she is full of sugar… We will be packing a GOOD BAG for our trip, and bringing at least an extra for the parks. Just in case we are stuck in a long line for a ride, I will have a GOOD bag in my purse to make sure my daughter had a snack and some fun while we wait.
