 Take the tour:
Remember you can visit the Hanover, PA, Pretzel Bakery it offers an in-house tour that combines our exciting history with our fast paced manufacturing facility. There is no fee for the tour. It is geared for ages 5 and up, but everyone will enjoy seeing how pretzels and potato chips are made. The guide will take you on a walking tour which allows you to look down upon our raw material warehouse, finished goods warehouse (where you will see robotics at work), and our complex packing room with state of the art packing equipment. You will then see the oven room where you can almost taste the pretzels. The guide then finishes up by showing you how potato chips are made from beginning to end. The tour starts and ends at the Factory Store where you will be treated to a free bag of pretzels at the completion of the tour.

Our Take:

One of the things that you'll usually find in our house are bags of Snyder's of Hanover hot buffalo wing pretzel pieces. I love them, my husband loves them, and so does my daughter. We love the pretzel pieces in our house so much so that when my husband and I were in Gettysburg a few years ago my husband was driving around to kill time while I was in a meeting and well he got lost.....and just pulled over to check his GPS and when he realized where he pulled over (Snyder's of Hanover factory) he wanted to go in and hug someone for creating the hot buffalo wing pretzel pieces. So when a box arrived with new pretzel piece's it was met with excitement.

In the box we received Korn Krunchers pretzel pieces (nacho grande, barbeque & hot chile lime) along with Sweet & Salty pretzel pieces (cinnamon sugar & salted caramel) also Pretzel Spoons (spoon shaped pretzels) and finally Gluten Free pretzels (hot buffalo wing & honey mustard onion.) I don't know where to start! Snyder's has taken over 100 years of experience and given us some of the best tasting products on the market.

The Korn Krunchers are baked and made from corn, so they look like a traditional pretzel piece but they taste like a pretzel tortilla. And they taste wonderful! The hot chile lime was off the charts the chile and lime flavors along with the corn pretzel just exploded in your mouth. Nacho grande and the corn pretzels is another flavor that really worked as well because it really tasted like a nacho. The barbeque we were a little unsure of because of the corn pretzel but the smokey barbecue flavor was so good and it worked so well with the corn that all three bags were empty quickly.

The Sweet & Salty pretzel pieces are a great dessert snack. After dinner we're always looking for a sweet treat and we really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar and the salter caramel. The one thing that I never have to worry about with a Snyder's of Hanover flavored item is that it won't have enough flavor on it. A lot of chips and pretzels that are flavored are under flavored and you can barely taste them.

Not the case with Snyder's products, they're flavorful and they taste exactly as they're supposed to taste, it's not like it sort of tasted like a buffalo wing or I can kind of taste the cinnamon.

With gluten free we've become conditioned to them usually being taste free as well, again not the case with Snyder's of Hanover. I ate a few of the buffalo wing pretzels and I said to my husband wow they taste like pretzels! I know they're pretzels....but I've had gluten free pretzels in the past and at best they've tasted like paste. The hot buffalo wing and the honey mustard onion are just popping with real flavor. If you just empty a bag of these pretzels in a bowl and don't tell people they're gluten free they'll never know. That's the sign of a company that knows what they're doing and with 100 plus years of experience Snyder's of Hanover certainly knows what they're doing.
