Our Take:
My little nephew was overjoyed to be able to check out the Mike the Knight Glendragon Castle Play set.  Alex my nephew is a big fan of Mike’s and regularly watches "Mike the Knight,"  new show on Nickelodeon.  Mike is a 10 year old knight who is in search for adventure and finds it each episode.  I love Mike’s motto: “Be a Knight. Do it right!”   And with this play set, you can do it right, you can have fun and save the day. 

My nephew who is three,  has not stopped playing with the castle since I took it out of the box. He adores the show, and thought it was so cool to have his own little Mike and Mikes castle. This toy was a great match for him. The castle is bigger than it seems from the box, it is adorable. The set comes with a two figures, Mike the Knight and his horse Galahad. I love that the castle has some great features that keep kids interest.

What is a castle without a treasure? All castles need  treasure, and this castle is no different. There is a cute treasure box that appears and disappears when a lid is flipped. Will Mike be able to capture the treasure?? Well we will have to play to find out!  There are so many other cool moving items in this set, including an area where hay “disappears” a flip bed that turns into a slide.

  Every Knight needs a catapult right? Well Mike has a great one in this play set. One thing you might not think of when you think of a knight play set is a zip line, but this is such a dun addition to this set. You can snap mikes hands to the zip line and send him off to fight and protect the town and the castle.   The castle play set has a great talking feature as well, just press the little shield and hear Mike saying all types of phrases.

These sound effects, are fun not annoying (like many toys sound effects can be, I am sure all of the parents out there know what I mean) and really add to the enjoyment of the set. We both had a great time (yes I had fun too, I can be a big kid at times) playing with the catapult and the zip line, it was a lot of fun.   The only issue I had, was having trouble getting Mike to stand up, because of this large head it takes a while to get the right balance for him to stand, or ride on the horse and not fall off.

This play set was a well-made and the set  stood up to all the little guy put it through. This is a play set that will stand the test of time, the quality I expect from Fisher Price. The Fisher-Price Mike the Knight Glendragon Castle Playset is easy to assemble, and can be put together in no time. This is a great toy for smaller preschoolers who love things that talk, it is a lot of fun.  The castle has some great accessories packs that can be purchased separately to add to the fun. Wouldn’t it be fun to add one of the many gift packs like the pack with Mike's 8 year old sister Evie? Aren’t these toys adorable?
