My mother loved Barbie, I adored my Barbie’s and of course my daughter is a big fan. If you are a big Barbie fan too, you are going to love the new DVD from Mattel, Barbie™ & Her Sisters in a Pony Tale.
In the all-new movie, Barbie® sets off on an equestrian adventure and this time she brings along her sisters, Stacie®, Skipper® and Chelsea®. The sisters travel to a posh horse academy in the majestic Swiss Alpine. There, the girls make new animal friends including a wild horse Barbie® meets in the forest.

The two form an instant connection, allowing Barbie® to train the beautiful creature. In the meantime, the sisters also form bonds and create sweet memories with their ponies at the academy. Throughout the movie, the girls learn that anything is possible through the power of family and friendship.

My daughter was very fortunate  to be able to check out a great DVD  Barbie™ & Her Sisters in a Pony Tale. Featuring, Barbie, Skipper, Chelsea and Stacie.

Our Take:

I have always been a huge Barbie fan, I had quite the large collection when I was a little girl and my daughter is no different. We could not wait to have a movie night and enjoy the newest installment of the Barbie movie franchise, Barbie & Her Sisters in a Pony Tale. So we popped some popcorn got out some snacks and prepared for a fun movie night, with mommy and daughter.  I loved that this movie was a movie with a horses.

What little girl doesn't dream of getting a horse of her own? As a  little girl, I always asked for a pony for my birthday or for Christmas. Sadly since we lived in a row home there was pretty much no chance of getting that horse I so wanted. So my parents did the next best thing for me, I was allowed to go to summer camp each summer for a week where I would be able to spend time with the horses I loved. I would be able to ride and enjoy the horses, and I would look forward to this week all year. These are memories I cherish.

Barbie's befriends one of the horses when it rescues her from a pack of wolves, and  things go up and down from there… What are they to do!?? Well I am not going to spoil the movie for you, you will have to pick up a copy to find out for yourself.  I love the bright colors and great look of this dvd. The message about respecting others  is a great theme. My daughter and I liked this movie a lot. Of course her favorite character was Barbie’s horse.  Overall the movie was a lot of fun to watch, it was full of adventure, and even some laughs. This great dvd also has some fun extras, make sure to check out the outtakes. 

My daughter loved the movie! She is eight years old and this was a great movie for girls her age. As soon as the movie was over she wanted to watch it again, I gave it and we watched it again.   I would recommend this movie for girls young and old. If you are a Barbie fan you will love Barbie & Her Sisters in a Pony Tale.   With the holidays  right around the corner (they will be here before you know it) this DVD would make a great gift, or stocking stuffer for that special little girl on your list this year.  Your little girl with love the dvd  it will be a big hit!
