Have you ever had a family member move to another country? If so, how was the transition for them?

Calgary is a lovely city that is located in the Provence of Alberta. For those of you not familiar with Calgary, its economy is booming and there are jobs aplenty.  If you need a great deal on Canadian mortgage rates make sure you shop around. Calgary's downtown district features  an  eclectic mix of restaurants and bars, public squares, and of course some great shopping. Calgary had a population of 988,193 this makes it the third-largest municipality in the country and largest in Alberta. (check out Wikipedia for more information)

I love the city of  Calgary because I’ve always had a thing for Canada, it’s seems like a cool place to live (no pun intended!)  But it’s a country that has given us so much and Calgary has given us so much such as hosting the 1988 Winter Olympics as seen in John Candy’s feel good movie Cool Runnings , the Saddledome the Calgary Tower the Calgary Stampede Stampede Wrestling.

Seriously though Calgary is a cool place (again no pun intended) it is rich in culture, athletics and recreations and looks like it would be a blast to visit and to live there..  My niece has the same love of the city that I have and she is taking the plunge and moving to our neighbors to the north. I have to give her credit it has to take a lot of guts to move out of the state where you live, let alone the country!  From getting used to the culture and the money to the Canadian post office!

I think she is going to love living in Canada, but the first issue she is going to have is getting a mortgage. I know from first hand experiences that getting a mortgage is not always easy, it can be time consuming, and difficult. When I was shopping around for my mortgage, I had a few companies that offered sky high rates, that I could never afford it was frustrating and at times scary, we always wondered if we would ever get the right mortgage for us.  I hope my niece has a better time, getting the house of her dreams in Canada, and getting the mortgage she needs in order to pay for it!
