Elizabeth & Clarke Autumn 2013 fashionable women’s clothing subscription service Review

What if I told you there was a women’s clothing subscription service that offers seasonal boxes of cute tops that are delivered right to your home. Sounds great doesn't it ? Something so simple can make such a strong statement is a testament to just how far wardrobe basics have come. women expect so much more from them today - flattering, feminine necklines, forgiving cuts, boyfriend fits, seamless silhouettes, gauzy weaves, smooth drapes, vintage washes...the list goes on.

Unlike high-end designers, we don’t spend money to build fancy stores or sell our shirts for a ridiculous mark-up to department stores. as a result, we can spend a lot more money to make high-quality shirts without increasing the price. Elizabeth & Clarke’s shirts are similar in quality to Theysken’s Theory, James Perse, T by Alexander Wang, Kain, or the Row but without the crazy mark-up!

I was very fortunate to be able to try out the Premium subscription, this included three fashionable shirts that are great for the fall.

 These days you can purchase just about anything via a subscription through the mail. From cheesecake, to caramel apples Those items may be fun but not that useful. Elizabeth and Clarke have the most wonderful subscription service I have ever seen! Being a busy working mom I am always on the go and sometimes this leads to some unflattering clothing choices. Sure I would love to dress fashionable and stylish all the time, but who has time to go out and shop for all of these cute clothing? With work, school, dance practice, violin practice I am on the go all the time! I am so glad that there is a service that will send some stylish tops that work with so many different looks right to your home.

Sure you may be saying this seems too good to be true?? Well it is true and the service is spectacular. I was sent three tops that are great for the fall, The March Long Sleeve Tee, The Lyon Asymmetrical Long Sleeve Tee, The Barrett Blouse. Each are lightweight with long sleeves making them great for the fall.

The March Long Sleeve Tee, is a great grey long top, this top has great elbow covers that give this top an hint of sophistication. They grey was great color and it worked well with the brown of the elbow patches, a great neutral color.

The Lyon Asymmetrical Long Sleeve Tee, this was a more sheer top (I had to pair this with a camisole) it was very stretchy and felt comfortable on, this was one of my favorites. 

The Barrett Blouse, this is a great black blouse that should be a staple in everyone’s wardrobe.  This was a roomy top that fit generously. I paired this with jeans and it was a great look for a date night with my husband.

Each of the tops were well made and quality tops. I was able to wash each of them, and there was no color fading or shrinkage.  I was able to wear each of the tops to work, either pairing them with slacks or a cute skirt. My co-workers gave me quite a few complements. And when I told them that the shirts were from a subscription service, they thought that was so different and they were intrigued.  The tops are so very versatile, they would work dressed up and they would work just as well with jeans.

An Elizabeth & Clarke shirt subscription sends out seasonal shirts every 3 months. For this subscription you can pick from three different options.   The Starter cost $30, and you get one shirt per season.  The Signature cost $50 two  shirts per season. The Premium cost $60 you get 3 shirts per season.  Where can you purchase a stylish designer like shirt for $20.00? Not many places that’s for sure, and when you do find an inexpensive top they are usually made cheaply and not even worth the money. But that is not how it is with the great tops from Elizabeth & Clarke, they are made well and I am sure you will enjoy them for years to come.

With the holidays right around the corner (they will be here before you know it) wouldn’t you love a subscription from Elizabeth & Clarke? Having cute tops that are great for each season they are delivered in? That is a great thing. I cannot wait to see what they have for the winter 2013 season. And I would love a subscription for myself (hint hint for my hubby) this would make a great gift!
