Are you a busy mom that wants to make great meals for your
family but may not have as much time as you would like to visit the grocery
store to shop. I know with back to school, this means time spent going to
school, volunteering going to event to event and just trying to juggle it all.
Well what if I told you there was a company out there that sells high end Kobe
Beef, that can be ordered online and shipped to your home. Making dinner has
never been easier. Here is a little more information about the Firelands Cattle
Company from the website:
At Firelands Cattle
Company, we take pride in taking a famous and ancient practice of raising fine
beef and implementing it into our local community. All of our cattle is born,
reared, packed, and shipped from within the USA. The Firelands Cattle Company
was started with the goal of bringing the age-old Kobe style beef raising
practices to the heartland. The founders of Firelands have been bi-coastal
business partners and great friends in the food production business for over 10
years.
Their experience and wisdom in this space is shown in every product that
we put on the market. Here at Firelands, we maintain the simple philosophy that
our customer always comes first. That pledge is backed by our interest and
oversight along the entire supply chain. Firelands manages and controls the
rearing, production, packaging, and delivery of our products to the customer's
doorstep.
As a working mother I buy in my estimate 90% of my purchases
online. I am just a busy person and my time is very valuable. I would hate to
spend the little time I have after work shopping be it food shopping of clothes
shopping. I would much rather shop online take only a few minutes from my day
then spend the rest of the time with my family. Playing with my daughter with
the time I saved from not having to go out shopping. I buy pretty much
everything online, I even buy my meats. I have no problems buying meat. Yes it
can be easy to buy meat online. I have done it many times in the past. I find
it easier than shopping in the stores (besides the time it saves me) the sites
usually tell me more about the meat than my supermarket would. And online I
seem to get better customer service.
I was very fortunate to be able to try a variety meat from the
Firelands Cattle Company. And as soon as the box of meat arrived, I could not
wait to start cooking.
First up was my delicious moist meatloaf. This is a recipe
my mother always made when I was a little girl, it is juicy delicious and easy
to make. I could not wait to make this with the ground beef from The Firelands
Cattle Company. With this simple recipe you need:
2 lbs ground beef (this may seem like a lot, but this is so
good you will not mind the leftovers if there are any)
1 small onion
1 cup tomato juice
¾ cup of instant plain oatmeal
1 egg
½ teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon of pepper
Ketchup, or BBQ sauce to top the meatloaf (you can choose
whatever you think your family would like best, we went with BBQ sauce this
time)
Mix meat, chopped onion and all other ingredients in a
large bowl, mix until all are
incorporated. Form meat into a loaf form on nonstick tray. Top meat with sauce
topping of choice before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Then serve and enjoy.
My daughter used to eat just about anything, but these days
she has become such a picky eater, I don’t like this, I don’t like that… What
you used to love that? Well I was a bit concerned that my meatloaf would be on
the list of things she used to like but I was so glad I was wrong.
As soon as I mentioned that I was going to make meatloaf that night my daughter squealed… “I love your meatloaf!” well that was nice to hear. I was looking forward to trying the meatloaf with the Kobe Beef from the Firelands Cattle Company. When the food was ready my daughter was right there ready with her plate ready to dig in. I have to say the meatloaf was so much more moist and juicy than what I make it with meat from the supermarket. My family just loved the ground beef and raved about the taste.

Then we were off to grill some hamburgers. Sure summer may technically
be over, but here in the northeast, the colder weather is not here yet, and it
is still pretty nice outside so we had the burgers on the outside grill. For me there is nothing better than a flame
broiled burger, straight from the grill.
My family loved the moist and tender burger patties. I loved that they
were pre formed and ready to go. When I form burgers they are always misshaped,
my husband calls them meatball burgers because they tend to be more round than
flat. But since these burgers were formed, they were ready to grill then eat. I
grilled mine well done, and it had no pink at all, but was not dry as some
burgers can get when they are cooked to be well-done. My husband enjoyed the steak, I broiled the steak
with some red wine and surprised my husband with a nice quality “steak house”
meal at home. The steak was tender and
flavorful. Bobby enjoyed it very much.
Are you looking for a way to save time, and have meat
delivered right to your door? Not just any meat, but Kobe beef. How many times have you waited to see the
butcher at your local supermarket just to as a simple question, and no one
knows where the butcher is, or he/she is just too busy to help you. Well I can
say that used to happen to me a lot. But not anymore. By buying my meat from
the Firelands Cattle Company I get the meat I am looking for delivered right to
my door. And this is priceless for a busy mom like me!
