Estragon (this is Tarragon)
Salade (this is a salad topper)
As a busy working mom, the time I spend cooking I enjoy but
I can’t be in the kitchen for hours. I have so much to do, I have to clean cook
help my daughter with her homework all before my husband is home from work
(well I don’t have to have it all done… I just like to be a superwoman and do
it all) so when I cook I like to get fancy with things I have in the house
already. Simply using what I have in the cabinets, freezer and refrigerator to
make a great meal. I wanted to try
something new and I came up with spicy lime cilantro burritos. Here is what you
need to make this yummy dinner, most ingredients you should have in your home. So I whipped up this recipe, using the Daregal
Gourmet Herb Cilantro.
Spicy Lime Cilantro Burritos
1 lb Ground beef
Teaspoon of lime juice
Teaspoon of lime juice
Teaspoon- of chili powder
½ cup water
1 cup of readymade rice
Teaspoon of Daregal Gourmet
Herb Cilantro
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
Cheese to top burritos
(cheese can be whatever you like, we went with feta, to make this unique)
Burrito tortilla
shells
For optional spicy mayo topping
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
Dash of cilantro
Dash of sriracha
Squirt of lime
First up, brown the ground beef according to instructions on
the package. When browned drain well, add salt, pepper, chili spice, and water
to meat. Continue to cook, mix well. Add lime to meat, add Daregal Gourmet Herb Cilantro mix in cooked rice.
Top burrito shell
with desired amount of meat, sprinkle some more Daregal Gourmet Herb Cilantro on
top of meat, top with cheese and spicy mayo topping. Serve right away, and
enjoy!
So what did my family think of this dinner? Well they loved
it! It was spicy and tangy from the lime. The cilantro really stood out and made
this a great meal. To use these herbs
simply remove from the freezer, shake box to loosen herbs then lift lid. Sprinkle
the desired amount onto meal. Return to freezer immediately after use, easy
huh?
The parsley was a great addition to my tomato spaghetti sauce. It gave my homemade sauce a great flavor that was a hit. I loved the tarragon, this was wonderful in a béarnaise sauce I made for breakfast for my husband’s eggs benedict. He adored the flavoring of the sauce, and he cleaned his plate in record time and came back for seconds. And last but certainty not least was the salad topper. The salad topper is a bad name for it, because these herbs are so much more. They really jazzed up my boring salads giving my salad a more flavorful and robust flavor that made lunch that much better.
