Barbie™ Mariposa and her furry friend Zee are back in a new movie full of magic! In this whimsical adventure, Mariposa becomes the Royal Ambassador of Flutterfield and is sent to bring peace between her fairy land and their rivals, the Crystal Fairies of Shimmervale.
While Mariposa doesn’t make a great first impression on their King, she quickly becomes friends with his shy daughter, Princess Catania. Throughout the adventure, Mariposa runs into some trouble and learns that she is no longer welcome in the fairyland. Shortly after leaving, she and Zee encounter a dark fairy who wishes to destroy Shimmervale. As Mariposa rushes back to warn the Crystal Fairies, Princess Catania offers to help and the two girls work side by side, proving that the best way to make a friend is to be a friend.

I have always been a big Barbie fan, I had quite the
collection when I was a little girl and my daughter is no different. I just
love that we have a doll that we both love, it is such a nice thing to have
dolls of my past back into my life again. Today’s Barbie’s are so much more
interesting than some of my more plain Barbie’s were. I love the costumes and
the accessories.
I would recommend these dolls for girls young and old. If you are a Barbie fan you will love Barbie™ Mariposa & the Fairy Princess. The dolls are amazing as well so colorful, and nicely dressed. Barbie as Mariposa, has amazing beautiful wings that "flap" so pretending she was flying was that much more fun. The large wings turned into a lovely dress as well.
My daughter especially loved that the dress on Fairy Princess Catania transformed and switched the dress over and over again, she was have such fun with the dolls. With the holidays and many birthdays right around the corner the dolls would make a great gift idea for the special little girl on your list this year. Your little girl with love these unique dolls, I am sure they will both be a big hit!

I dont know the name of the barbie but I have one that has a beautiful winter gown, hood and fur hand cuff. I still wish I could find that dress if I ever happen to get married in the winter.
My favorite Barbie of all time would have to be the original Barbie doll from the 1950's, with the striped bathing suit and blue eyeshadow and high ponytail. My mom had one of these as a kid, and my sister and I would always fight over it, as we both wanted to add her to our collection of dolls.
I just asked the six year old sitting next to me and she says it's her Ariel barbie!! I had a lot of Barbies as a child, too. Had some of the clothes and things, also, for SO so long! (alas, some very very naughty children of some friends STOLE all my old barbie clothes one day and that was the end of that.. they destroyed them so badly, they were not worth trying to save) So I made a whole bunch of new clothes for the kids and grandkid's barbies.
My all time favorite is Holiday Barbie, but I had several and loved them all!

My favorite Barbie is a little more personal. I loved the Barbie's I got from my aunts who had grown out of them :) Barbie's were too expensive for my mom to buy me, so when my aunts gave my sister and I their box of Barbie's & clothes, we were ecstatic! Nothing could compare to those dolls :)
