A budding ten-year-old actress found herself overwhelmed by
the kind actions of the UK couch retailer ScS recently. When young Amelia
Howarth decided to let ScS know just how much she liked their advertisements, the company’s response
was the last thing she expected. ScS replied to Amelia’s message, inviting her
and her brother William to go behind the scenes on the set of the company’s new
adverts, due for release on the 19 September marketing manager for ScS, Lindsey
Duncton, commented: “We were delighted to read Amelia’s email and to hear how much she loved our ads. The preparations for
our autumn campaign were the perfect opportunity to invite Amelia and her family down to see what
actually happens on-set.”
Accompanied by their mom, the pair were given free reign of
the company’s Portrack Lane store in Stockton and given a sneak peek of what
exactly goes into making their ads. A highlight for the youngster was meeting
the star of the adverts, and Amelia’s idol, Victoria Thomas. The pair spent time
discussing acting techniques and chatting like the best of friends. When asked
about her day, ecstatic Amelia broadly grinned and said: “The whole day was
really fantastic and I enjoyed meeting the nice people from ScS. I have shown
all my friends the signed script I was given by Victoria and told them all about
it. It really is the best day of my holidays and I can’t wait to see the new
ads on the TV.”
Amelia’s mom Emma couldn’t quite believe the kindness of
ScS, taking the time to thank many members of staff throughout the day. She
said: “I really didn’t expect them to reply and say we could go to their shoot,
but I’m really pleased that they did. It was a super day, and one that Amelia will
not forget for a long while.” With Amelia’s acting skills, we can see her
spending more and more time on set as she follows her acting dream to
superstardom. Find out more about ScS at scs.co.uk.
