Are you a fan of bacon? Meat candy as some call it, bacon is
as popular as ever. Did you know that there is a company out there that
specializes in all things bacon? From bacon salt to bacon mayonnaise. They even
have a great amount of items that are not edible, they just smell like bacon!
Aren’t you intrigued? Bacon scented, air fresheners, and so much more. Here is a little more information about J&D’s from the website:
The creators of Bacon
Salt, Baconnaise, Bacon Ranch, BaconPOP microwave popcorn, Bacon Gravy (and
even Bacon Lip Balm and Mmmvelopes). Our newest red-headed stepchild is Malt
Salt (a malt vinegar flavored seasoning). Get recipes and more! J&D's Foods
is your standard improbable tale of two young guys who made a product and got
lucky. Justin Esch and Dave Lefkow launched the company in June of 2007 and
funded it with a $5,000 win on America's Funniest Home Videos from Dave taking
a shot from the face from his 3 year old sold son. The duo quit their jobs,
rolled the dice to pursue bacon-flavored interests full-time.
There are so many bacon inspired items from the site, here
are a few of my favorites:

I was very fortunate to be able to check out their newest
creation, Bacon Sunscreen! Yes you read that right, Bacon Sunscreen.
Science has shown us
that 10 out of 10 people prefer the smell of Bacon to coconut, which makes this
the most anticipated new product of the summer. Bacon Sunscreen is enriched
with SPF 30 and rich, porky moisturizers. It’s designed to keep even the most
delicate skin protected from harmful UV rays and smelling like something
delicious is cooking for several hours. Please note that while pigs are not
natural prey for sharks, we can’t guarantee that they won’t be ravenously
hungry after smelling you. FACT – The hottest place on Earth is the Lut Desert
in Iran, which had an estimated temperature of 159.3 degrees F (70.7 C). This
is almost but not quite hot enough to cook Bacon. Thought you should know.
Ok now, I know that some may think this is a bit odd, but it
you are a bacon lover you are going to adore this bacon sunscreen. As soon as the sunscreen arrived, my daughter
tried to claim it, she thought it was just about the coolest thing she ever
saw. Of course being the jokester that she is she wanted to “prank” my husband
when he got home. So she slathered on the J&D’s Bacon Sunscreen (just a note, a little goes a long way). When
my husband got in from work, my daughter went over to give him a hug then he
started sniffing around…. He asked what is that smell.. are you cooking bacon??
My daughter got a good kick out of that, when she told my husband that it was the sunscreen he was smelling, he didn’t believe it until he saw the bottle. All kidding aside, this is real sunscreen with a spf 30, this is a great way to stand out at the beach. Sure smelling like a coconut at the beach is good, but smelling like bacon now that is GREAT! If you are looking for some new sunscreen this summer season, why not check out the J&D sunscreen, you will love it!
