I was very fortunate to be able to try each of the flavors available:

My Review:

We consume a lot of jerky well my husband consumes a lot of it; I usually get to sniff the bag because he eats it so quick. It’s a great snack for people who are trying to eat healthy, lose weight or maintain their weight but want a really good snack. Jerky, cured, dried meat. It’s a basic, simple, and a delicious snack option.

It’s made even better by Golden Island Jerky We were shipped several samples of Golden Island Jerky’s delicious jerky, all 6 flavors: Hickory Black Pepper Beef Jerky, Chili Lime Beef Jerky, Mandarin Orange (Gluten Free) Beef Jerky, Flame Grilled BBQ Pork Jerky, Teriyaki Pork Jerky, and Korean BBQ (Gluten Free) Pork Jerky. Honestly we cannot come to a conclusion as to which flavor is best. 

I love the Teriyaki, my daughter loved the Flame Grilled BBQ Pork Jerky and my husband can’t decide is Black Pepper or Korean BBQ  is the best. They’re all equally good and the best part is that it’s a rather healthy snack! The flavors were spot on, you could taste the lime and chili spices in the chili lime, the orange was great the flavors were robust and I never would have thought to combine these flavors with jerky!

The jerky was jerky but it wasn’t petrified jerky making it so tough to eat that every time you bite into it you fear losing a tooth so add that to the great flavors and types of meat to choose from making Golden Island Jerky  a wonderful jerky. A 3 ounce package is $7.00 We’ve eaten a lot of jerky from a lot of companies and I have to say that Golden Island Jerky is probably the best we’ve had, good flavor and not too tough that it feels like you’re gnawing on shoe leather. If you like beef and pork jerky and haven’t had the chance to try Golden Island Jerky you’re missing out, give their site a visit and pick up a few bags.
