Are you a big baseball fan, do you love to take in live
games there is nothing like it. A great way to see a baseball game, is to check
out a minor league team. I would like to introduce you all to a great local minor
league team that plays right across the river in Camden, the Riversharks, here
is a little more information about the Riversharks from the website.
Opening its doors in May of 2001, Campbell’s Field has quickly become one of the premier minor league baseball stadiums in the country. Honored as “Ballpark of the Year” in 2003 by Digitalballparks.com, and in 2004 by Baseball America, the home of the Camden Riversharks is a 6,500 seat stadium situated along the Delaware River in Camden, New Jersey. Famous for its unbeatable view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and the Philadelphia skyline, Campbell’s Field provides the entire Delaware Valley with family friendly entertainment at an affordable price. The numerous concourse attractions at Campbell’s Field make it the perfect place to take in a baseball game with the family. The rock climbing wall and bouncing inflatables in the United Way Fit and Fun Zone are non-stop fun for children, and Campbell’s Field even has its very own carousel. Host a birthday party at the ballpark, and you children may never want to leave.

For those of you who know me well know that I am a big
baseball fan, I guess that comes with growing up near the major league stadiums
in Philadelphia. I love to go to baseball games, there is nothing like it, the
crack of the bat, the smell of the hot dogs… for me it is so relaxing and just
a lot of fun. But visiting the major league parks can be so very expensive and
not something we can do as a family much.
The cost is just so high, just to get
into the park is $20++ for standing room only seats, and if you want to eat,…
well forget about it you can go broke! So when I had the chance to check out a
game with the minor league team the Camden Riversharks, I could not wait to
share the experience with my family.
The Riversharks, were up against the Long Island Ducks. It
was a fun game full of scoring and plenty of cheers. The view from the seats were amazing! What a
great view of the bridge, it just worked so well with the layout of the
ballpark. The night was a great night
for baseball, it was warm but not overly muggy the skies were clear and we were
ready for some fun.
We loved watching the game, but we did not stick in our
seats the entire time, there is just so much to do at Campbell’s Field so we
wanted to check it out. They have a great rock climbing wall my daughter wanted
to try it, then got a little nervous and decided not to. But it sure looked
like a lot of fun. Now what is a ballpark without some great ballpark food?
Well the Riversharks did not disapont, the food was tasty and affordable. Of course we had to pick up some cotton candy
for my daughter she, just adores it.
Although the Riversharks did not win the game, we still all
had a lot of fun. We will surely be taking the short drive from Philadelphia to
Camden again this summer to check out another fun Riversharks game. So if you are looking for an entertaining time
out with the family this summer make sure to check out the Camden Riversharks
schedule, and check out a great game with the family. I am sure you will have a
wonderful time, my family sure did.
The cost is so very affordable, at $13.00 - $5.00 a ticket!
Make sure to check out the riversharks schedule

my company sponsors our local minor league team and I take my kids, they love it.
My family just got tickets to go to one of their games. Everyone is so excited to go.
Always a fun outing to take the family to a baseball game. We have the Louisville RiverBats close to us and then not too far off are the Cincinnati Reds. My husband and boys are big baseball fans. This place you have featured looks like a good time!
I don't think I'd stay in my seats very much either..I'd want to eat all of the junk food!
Looks like you had a great time. We have a local team here, but this looks more fancy than our stadium, lol.

Those mosaics are REALLY cool!!
That is a really great deal for family fun! My boys would love it!
I used to love watching baseball games growing up. I can't wait for my boys to get older so they can go and have fun.
What a great place! And I love the bridge in the distance.
Oh Wow I miss Philly I am glad to see they made good use of that land. Minor league games are in my opinion twice as fun. I sometimes miss everything about Philly even those not so sanitary street corner soft pretzels!
I know what you mean about the pretzels~ They are sold everywhere, it seems you just have to watch out for where you buy them.
