I just returned from a trip to Disney
World for Star Wars weekend, it was a solo trip and it was the first
time I had gone anywhere by myself and I must admit it took a while
to get used to be alone. I make no bones about it I love both Star
Wars and Disney World so the fact that Disney hosts Star Wars weekend
is like a perfect storm for me, it gives me everything I could want
in a trip in a nice little package.
I made the decision to attend
weekend one of Star Wars weekend a handful of months ago knowing it
would be a solo trip due to my wife becoming a world traveler and my
daughter is in school.
We have attended Star Wars weekend twice
before in 2010 and 2012 and I've had a great time, I know my wife
tolerates Star Wars because of me and I appreciate that she let's me
be a fan and doesn't give me grief because of it. In the past I would
usually spend one of the 3 days devoted to Star Wars at the Studio's
because I don't want to force my wife and daughter to do things they
might not be all that interested in doing and constantly waiting in
lines to do them. This trip was a chance for me to get to experience
everything I've never had the chance to experience in prior trips and
tour the parks at my speed.

Star wars Weekends may become more popular due to Disney making the next Star Wars movies.
I love that you did Disney as a solo. I admire anyone who can do that! I'm so shy and feel so awkward doing theme parks solo, but when it comes to Disney, I think I could handle it! I LOVE that place!
