My Lanyard Maker, a gift tween girls will love! #Giveaway

Are you looking for a great gift idea? How about a fun crafty toy that gets girls moving and gets their creative juices flowing? Well I have a great suggestion for you, a My Lanyard Maker! Here is a little more information about the company that make this fun toy, from the website:

While babysitting his granddaughters they asked David to make friendship bracelets with them. This is a trend that has a recent surge in popularity as moms teach their kids this age old tradition with a bit of nostalgia. Friendship Bracelets are seen all over TV, and Tweens everywhere are making them. The process of making them involves securing a knot and keeping the strings in order while knotting the threads. After one experience with the grandkids David decided there must be a better way!

Here is my silly daughter with the kit, she can be so funny

Crorey Creations was able to tap into some of the best talent in Detroit who have unfortunately found themselves unemployed in this tough economy. After many engineered drawings, prototypes and focus groups we now have a perfected, patented product. This product is the right product , at the right time at the right price (under $25). This product will have appeal beyond the US market and can be global in scope as evident through online research of friendship bracelets.

I was very fortunate to be able to try My Lanyard Maker with my daughter:

My Lanyard Maker®  Kit comes packed with everything you need to make cool craft accessories! Includes 12 round and 18 flat plastic laces, 18 colorful hooks, 100 pony beads and 18 key rings!

My daughter is getting quite crafty, she loves to make things for her dolls and jewelry for me, she loves to “design” things. She got the chance to design something totally new for her when she got to try out the Lanyard Maker by MyFBM.
This is fun, it gave her a chance to do something like learn how to make a box knot, at first she was a little hesitant because it's something totally out of her zone but after watching the video a few times we were able to start and by the end of making the key chain she was doing it all on her own. It's given her a bit of confidence with tying knots, she's been learning to tie her shoe's and went from hating tying knots to wanting to tie knots into key chains and friendship bracelets. It's pretty simple once you get the hang, it looked daunting at first but after a short while she was going from side to side tying knots like an expert.
She took her lanyard maker with her to show her cousin and before you knew it our little knot expert was showing off her skills and was able to teach her cousin how to tie a box knot. The kit is great as it also works as a container to hold all of your supplies. So many colorful beads and laces coupled with a boat load of knot varieties make the Lanyard Maker something that will keep my daughter occupied for a long time. I love the lanyard maker, it's something the builds skill and occupies her time without using the computer or the television to do it.

This would make a great gift idea for the tween or young teen on your gift list this year. It will be wonderful for that special someone, they will love it! My daughter sure did.  My Lanyard Maker retails for $24.99  and recommended for ages 6 and up.

So if you are looking for a great gift idea, a gift that does not need batteries and does not need to be plugged in.. A great old fashioned but still very fun gift, I would recommend  My Lanyard Maker. It would be a great gift for that special girl on your gift list this year.

While weaving your lanyard, always make sure your laces are flat. If they are twisted,
you can loosen the laces and untwist before pulling each layer tighter.
