My husband is a child of the 80's, Star Wars, GI Joe, He-Man and the Trans-Formers. These are words when mentioned in his presence he gets this look of nostalgia in his eye and will tell you story after story about some show or toy about said subject for what seems to be hours. He's slowly turning our daughter into a mini version of himself, she's being taught to love all things her Daddy loves and she loves playing with him and his toys. So when I was sent a Kre-O Create It Trans-Former of Ripclaw Strike I thought both their heads would explode!

While not a character he grew up with the words Trans-Former and toy were in the same sentence and my husband was all over it and of course his partner in crime was close behind. The Ripclaw Strike isn't your typical Trans-Former, this is a build your own Ripclaw because it's 199 pieces the allow you to build either dragon or robot. My husband spread out the pieces on our kitchen table and he proceeded with the help of our daughter to put Ripclaw together. They took turns snapping the pieces on and within an hour they were done. It was cute watching them put it together, he wants a girl who will “make some guy very lucky someday” and he's teaching her well.

This isn't just a Trans-Former it's more than just a Trans-Former it's like a project that you either wind up with a cool robot or an even cooler dragon at the end. Ripclaw is a Trans-Former but you can't transform him in the traditional way. You want to change from robot to dragon you have a little work to do which is cool because it just made this figure all that more cool since it's not just a one trick pony. If your kid loves the Trans-Formers and loves building things then the Kre-O Trans-Formers are the perfect gift for them.
