As a little girl my grandparents were travelers, they loved to use their retirement time to travel all over the world. And lucky me, I got a special present each time they went on a trip, from Italy, to London to Germany. My grandparents were especially fond of Germany and traveled there quite a few times. Each time they returned I hoped for a Götz doll. I remember looking in doll catalogs and wishing that my grandparents would be me back a special Götz doll from Germany when they returned from their trips. Well my hints never got to them, perhaps I should have just asked them for a doll, rather than hinted and wished?

Because of my adoration for the Götz dolls, I was so happy when I heard that these great dolls are making a debut in the USA! Yes, you will be able to get the famous German Götz dolls in the US at HABA. I was so excited when I had the chance to review a Götz doll. Well I should say my daughter and I were very excited (sometimes I can be a bigger kid than my daughter) I just had to smile.  Are you a Götz doll lover? Here is a little information about the company, in 1950, Marianne Götz handcrafted beautiful dolls while her husband, Franz Götz, would sell them from a wagon he pulled with his bike. Six decades later these two prominent companies have come together to sell their adored wares to American children.  The second generation of Götz family members are still in charge of the company. The Götz dolls are very well made. Each doll has their own look and own personality, they look like real babies, and toddlers . These dolls can be dresses and enjoyed, they could be your child’s best bud.

My daughter now has a new buddy named Maxy Muffin a Götz doll she adores. Out of all the dolls available we chose Miss Maxy Muffin, because she was so pretty, and she reminded me so much of what my daughter looked like as a toddler.

Maxy Muffin Gotz Doll she is 16.5 Inches. She has lovely brunette hair and an adorable pink floral and hearts outfit. 

Her hair is  natural-looking hair it  has been developed especially for Gotz and,  is made in Germany. It is rooted into the scalp and is thus easy to care for. Children can easily wash, style, and brush it.  My daughter is the kind of kid that loves to play with hair, (I think I have a future hair dresser on my hands) she is always styling her dolls hair, she has so much fun with it. Maxy Muffin, has pretty chestnut brown hair that is easy to comb and style. I love that you can wash the dolls hair. Did you know that some dolls,( I won’t mention the name) warn against washing the dolls hair.. Why? Because the hair is so cheap, it puffs out and it is never the same after it is washed, and yes this happened to us. But I am so glad we will have no issues with this high quality Maxy Muffin Gotz Doll

The Gotz Doll  eyes, they use high-quality eyes that are either inserted by hand or painted. The dolls lashes  are specially produced to enhance the natural look the dolls. The lashes look real, and make the doll look even more pretty. She has big brown eyes, just like my daughter.

The Gotz Doll  clothing sports the latest trends in color and fashion are used in creating fresh clothing styles for our dolls. The clothes are made with care and are as real children's clothing. The clothing are just like mini children’s clothing, it has real button-holes pockets, and embroidery, are realistic and not sewn on as applications.  With the variations of details this really helps to promote the creative and motor skills of children.  I love that the Gotz outfits are washable and iron able. So if my daughter and her doll gets dirty I can just throw each of their outfits in the washer and they will come out as good as new.  Maxy Muffin has great rubber shoes that are all the rage these days. My daughter has a pair too, she loves that she can match her dolls shoes.

The Maxy Muffin Gotz Doll  is suggested for ages 3 - 5 years, 6 + years. My daughter just turned eight years old and she is still really into dolls and adores her Maxy Muffin Gotz Doll .
