We love to visit Hershey PA at least once a year, it is a great place to go to. Can you imagine waking up and smelling chocolate outside? It is as amazing as it sounds. For me chocolate doesn’t get any better than Hershey’s and once you pair it with Reese’s peanut butter you have the perfect candy ever invented. Whopper’s, Milk Duds, Reese’s, Kit-Kat and Hersey’s bars my candy collection is candy nirvana. I was very fortunate to try out some of Hershey's new Easter goodies. Along with great candy Hershey had a great website up for Easter this year Celebrate with Hershey’s , the site is filled with decoration idea, party ideas, recipes and more! Here are some of my favorites:
Ingredients:
HERSHEY'S BLISS Milk Chocolate Eggs
1/2 cup HERSHEY'S Premier White Chips*
1 teaspoon shortening(do not use butter, margarine, spread or oil)
Granulated sugar
Liquid food color
1 tablespoon warm water
1 teaspoon pasteurized dried egg whites(meringue powder)
Directions:
1. Unwrap chocolate candies. Line tray with wax paper.
2. Place white chips and shortening in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave
at MEDIUM (50%) 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional
10 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chips are just melted
when stirred.
3. Using fork dip chocolate candies in melted white chips. (If mixture is
too hot the chocolate will start to melt. Cool until chocolate does not begin
to melt when dipped.) Tap fork on edge of container to remove excess white
coating. (If coating becomes too thick, microwave at MEDIUM 10 seconds and
stir.) Place on prepared tray. Allow coating to harden.
4. Meanwhile, tint sugar with food color, if desired. Place sugar into
individual small bowl for each color desired. Add several drops liquid food
color. Stir until sugar is uniform color.
5. With sharp knife scrape or cut away "chocolate foot" that forms and any bits of hardened coating that are irregular. Lightly buff surface of coated egg with paper towel to smooth out any bumps.
6. Whisk together meringue powder and water until light and foamy. Using small brush lightly coat outside of chocolate pieces with meringue mixture. Roll in or sprinkle with sugar; place on prepared tray to dry. Store sugared chocolates in cool, dry place.

* This amount will easily coat 12 eggs.
In a few weeks Easter will be here, and I could not wait to
see all of the new Easter treats that
Hershey was coming out with this year. Hershey never disappoints me. I always looked forward to Easter, it is one
of my favorite holidays. There was nothing better than waking up and seeing
what the Easter bunny left me, I loved seeing what was in my Easter basket.
Some of my favorite memories are from the Easter egg hunts I would have on Easter morning with my family. Such fun! So for me it is very important to make sure my daughter has just as many great memories I have each Easter. Putting together a great Easter basket is the first step to a great Easter.

I loved the
Celebrate with Hershey’s site, and I came up with so many great ideas for our
Easter dinner this year. Hershey’s is the best chocolate ever in my opinion,
and we have always loved using the specially marked Easter pack for basket
stuffers.
There is nothing like getting a great Hershey’s chocolate item (or two)
in your special Easter basket… Then of course you have to open it up right away
and tasting the wonderful candy, sure it may be 8am, but it is Easter so it is
ok. Hershey has a great variety of items for the holidays, so all of the
candy lovers are covered. This year we
got to take a trip down the virtual
bunny trail and pick out some great treats for a basket.
I loved the idea of
the Snapsy snap-apart bunny. With this the bunny is easy to break, and there is
no cutting needed. Just snap off an ear and enjoy. The bunny has the great Hershey chocolate you
have come to know and love. But Hershey is more than just great chocolate, this
year they have Jolly Rancher sour gummies. My daughter loves sour candy, so this
was a favorite. For those classic ester treat fans they also have Jolly Rancher
jelly beans . Any Reese’s fan will love the little Reester bunnies or the giant
Reese’s Easter egg! Yes this is a real chocolate egg filled with Reese’s peanut
butter. MMMM…
A chocolate fan?
Well wouldn’t they love a Hershey chocolate bunny in their basket, I know I
sure would. This Hershey chocolate would also make great gifts for teachers,
neighbors and whoever loves chocolate. These treats are wonderful, make
sure to pick some up for the holidays, they will look great in a basket or in
your candy dish for your Easter family get together. Make sure to visit Hershey’s Bunny Trail for
great tips and some fun information. It
is time to start planning the Easter basket, time to stock up and have some
fun.
