I was very fortunate to be able to have a taste of Chuao
Chocolatier, with trying the following flavors:
Ravishing Rocky Road
Bar- Salted caramelized almonds and chewy marshmallows pave the way in milk
chocolate. Fluffy marshmallows cozy up
to the crunch of salted caramelized almonds in silky milk chocolate. One part
classic and two parts sexy, Ravishing Rocky Road is simply irresistible.
Spicy Maya Bar - Seductive
cinnamon, pasilla chile and warming cayenne bedded in dark chocolate. A
warm cinnamon embrace, velvety chocolate, and an infusion of cayenne and
pasilla chile just enough heat to melt your heart. Spicy Maya is the
perfect mix of sweet and seductive.
My Review:
I am a chocolate lover, I have been since I was a little
kid, chocolate was my favorite sweet. As I grew up I still love chocolate, but
now I look for flavored chocolate, and the more unique the better the chocolate
tastes. I no longer eat cheaper chocolate, for me it must be well made
delicious chocolate.
I was able to try out two flavors from Chuao, Spicy Maya Bar
and the Ravishing Rocky Road Bar. When the package arrived, my parents were
over to visit and as soon as my mother heard that there was chocolate in the
package she was very interested, and I sure had her attention. I seem to get my
love of chocolate from my mom, so with all of this chocolate we were both in
heaven!
The Ravishing Rocky Road Bar it is full of amazing flavor. The
salt on the almonds worked well with the sweet and there was just the right
amount of salty flavor. It was like a great smores with almonds! Just divine.
The marshmallows in the bar we not small insignificant marshmallows, nooo they
were large marshmallows that were delicious. This was my favorite Chuao bar. I could have eaten so many of these, they were
so very delicious. But for the sake of my waistline, I am glad I just shared
this one.
The Spicy Maya Bar , this bar just sounds amazing right? Spice and chocolate go so well
together, the combination of the cinnamon chocolate, and an infusion of cayenne
and pasilla chile it has just a touch of spice. This was not an overly hot bar
that you could not eat and enjoy, the richness of the dark chocolate worked
well with the light spice. The spice for me was just a touch but for me the cinnamon
stood out the most.. delicious.
My mom said the bar remind her of candy she had in
Mexico, with better tasting chocolate she loved it of course I was right and we
all ate it up and wanted more! Each bar retails for $4.99. Chuao Chocolatier is
an award-winning company that has so many amazing chocolate flavors. How
about potato chips in chocolate and panko bread crumbs with sea salt in
chocolate? Wow, I will have to pick up some more of these amazing sounding
flavors soon!
