celebration of its 60th Anniversary release, Hollywood’s legendary
El Capitan Theatre is thrilled to present Walt Disney’s animated classic “Peter
Pan” along with a never before seen episode of Disney Junior's “Jake and
the Never Land Pirates” January 11- February
7 2013, it was
announced today by Lylle Breier, senior vice president of worldwide
specialevents for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. This exclusive
engagement features
an on stage live appearance by Jake of
“Jake and the Never Land Pirates” at every showing. Guests can also pre-order
Disney’s “Peter Pan” Diamond Edition Blu-ray Combo Pack available nationwide on
February 5th.
PANEL
NIGHT
Adding
to the excitement, a “Peter Pan” panel night will be moderated by Leonard
Maltin and offered exclusively at the El Capitan Theatre on Friday, January11. The doors will open at 6:30pm, the panel discussion will start at 7pm
and the movie will follow. The
event
will feature conversations with Kathryn Beaumont (voice of Wendy),
MargaretKerry (live-action reference model for Tinker Bell) and Ted
Thomas (son of
legendary Disney animator Frank Thomas and director/writer of the
acclaimeddocumentaries “Frank and Ollie” and “Walt & El Grupo,”) who
produced an
all-new featurette on the Children of the Nine Old Men that is packaged
as part
of the Peter Pan Diamond Edition Blu-ray release.
JAKE’S BIRTHDAY BASH
On Saturday, January 19th at 10:00am only– the El Capitan
Theatre along with Disney Junior will be celebrating JAKE FROM "JAKE AND
THE NEVER LAND PIRATES" BIRTHDAY!!!
From the time doors open – guests will enjoy a party atmosphere with the
RADIO DISNEY Road Crew. Guests will also
enjoy a live performance by SHARKY and BONES of The Never Land Pirate
Band! Lots of fun and surprises and
giveaways are in store for all that attend this special birthday bash show.
Daily
showtimes for “Peter Pan” are 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets are
on sale now, and available at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), purchase

BREAKFAST
WITH JAKE
On Saturdays
and Sundays, El Capitan guests may also enjoy a character breakfast with Jake from
"Jake and the Never Land Pirates" at Disney’s Soda Fountain &
Studio Store, and then see the 10 a.m. showing of the movie! Seating is limited
and reservations are required.
TINY TOT TUESDAYS
The El Capitan Theatre will also host Tiny Tot
Tuesday every Tuesday during the engagement! During these special screenings of
“Peter Pan,” parents and small children can enjoy the movie in a Tiny
Tot-friendly way––complete with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced
sound levels.
