This past Thursday was a miserable day here weather wise, it
was gray and snowing and that eventually turned into rain and it was just not
nice. We thankfully had a great way to beat a miserable weather day and that
was getting to see Disney on Ice Rockin’ Ever After, the opening night! What a great show and a cool thing to do as a
family, it’s something the whole family can enjoy and there were plenty of
families at the show!
Rockin’ Ever After features Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel and Merida
making her ice debut. The show is essentially the premise of the four
princesses movies condensed and put on ice. Wonderful costumes, amazing skaters
(not one single unintentional fall), great Disney music and some very funny moments
take place in the roughly two hour show.
We had fantastic seats about 15 or so rows from the with a great view of the action and were able to see everything head on and that was great. My husband snapped loads of pictures and had a great time trying to time his pictures to the jumps of the skaters, that proved tricky because he wasn’t using a flash and our row was a pull out section of the Wells Fargo Center it was all metal and every time someone went up or down the aisle the row shook! But he still managed to take some incredible pictures.

The kid in our group (my daughter) was tickled pink to go,
she loves any excuse to wear a princess dress and since Merida was new to the
show she chose to wear her Merida dress. She wasn’t alone! I felt like I was in
the Magic Kingdom! We were surrounded by little princesses! The show is mainly
centered on the princesses but Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy are also
featured as well so the Fab Five minus one (Pluto) is represented as well. I couldn’t
have asked for a better thing to do on a dreary day, we watched a great show,
ate expensive crab fries and didn’t have to deal with awful weather! Who could
ask for anything more?
