Hodgson Mills Pizza Prize Pack Giveaway (RV $25) & Pizza Dough Recipe

Do you love to cook? As a working mom, it is sometimes hard for me to cook everything, it can be so time consuming. But I love to cook, it just relaxes me and my daughter loves to help me out as well. So cooking for me is a bonding experience with my daughter and she loves it too.

 I wanted to share with you all a great contest that Hodgson Mill is hosting on  Facebook it is a recipe contest called Build A Better Pizza. What type of pizza would you make, a white garlic pizza, a pepperoni mushroom? Well that possibilities are endless! I am giving it a  shot and entered my  pizza and shared the recipe, I would love to be the grand prize winner! The prize is an Italian Grill, valued at $1,300! And there are other great prizes as well. I am participating, I made a recipe that I came up with while using what ingredients we had in the house. Spicy basil, honey wheat pizza. Mmm sounds great huh?

I used the recipe for the crust from the site:

1 c warm water
1 pkg. HODGSON MILL ACTIVE DRY YEAST
3 c HODGSON MILL WHOLE WHEAT GRAHAM FLOUR
2 tsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. salt

And I added two teaspoons of honey.

I spread it out on a cookie tin, and made a thicker cruse Sicilian style square pizza.  Topped the pizza with crushed tomatoes that were mixed with  a hint of pepper flakes and chili powder, salt and pepper. The cheese was sharp cheddar, and I topped the cheese with basil. Sounds easy right? Well it was, making the dough took a total of 20 minutes, and I used that time while the yeast rose the dough to get the other ingredients together.

I baked this for 15 minute at 350, and voila delicious spicy sweet pizza, that my family loved.
