Are you looking for a great dessert that kids will love, with a cute Halloween twist? Well I would like to share an easy recipe for apple pie ghosts
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter
5 -7 tablespoons cold water
(or refrigerated pie shells, that is ok I will not tell :)
1 tsp of cinnamon
And small cookie cutters (I used an exacto knife to cut out the little eyes and mouths)
I picked up some ghost forms from my local store in the Halloween section (if you can not find any molds like this, just use a muffin tin and make round cute ghosts)
Just simply roll out the finished dough I estimated the size of the ghosts... Line the bottom of the tin with the crust of the pie...
Mix in the cinnamon with the apple pie filling...
Add the delicious mixture into the tins (or muffin pans)
I used the knife to cut cute little faces for the top layer of the pie.
Put your little creations in the oven for 35 minutes at 350 degrees, and before you know it you have ghost pies!
Delicious and cute huh? And super easy, we will be making these easy treats again.
Are you making anything special for Halloween? I would love to know what you like to make.
