I was very
fortunate to be able to have a taste of Chuao Chocolatier, with trying the following
flavors:
Sweet & Salty ChocoPod - touch of sea salt swirled
into Chuao’s premium blend of milk chocolate.
Maple Bacon Bar - Crispy
bacon goodness, a splash of sweet maple syrup and a bit of bonfire smoked sea
salt. Maple Bacon proves once and for all, that absolutely everything is better
with bacon.
My Review:
I am a chocolate
lover, I have been since I was a little kid, chocolate was my favorite sweet.
As I grew up I still love chocolate, but now I look for flavored chocolate, and
the more unique the better the chocolate tastes. I no longer eat cheaper
chocolate, for me it must be well made delicious chocolate.
I was able to try out
two flavors from Chuao, Sweet & Salty ChocoPod and the Maple Bacon Bar. When
the package arrived, my parents were over to visit and as soon as my mother
heard that there was chocolate in the package she was very interested, and I
sure had her attention. I seem to get my love of chocolate from my mom, so with
all of this chocolate we were both in heaven!
Sweet & Salty
ChocoPod, the chocolate pods are 60-calorie chocolate snack, it is full of
amazing flavor. The small bar, is a two bite bar that will take you away
to a sweet place that you will love. So how well does chocolate work with salt?
Well they were made to go together. The salt worked well with the sweet and there
was just the right amount of salty flavor. I could have eaten so many of these,
they were so very delicious. But for the
sake of my waistline, I am glad I just ate this one, but since they are only 60
calories each perhaps I should pick up a few more for later…. Sweet & Salty
ChocoPod is sold for $1.00.
The Maple Bacon
bar, this bar just sounds amazing right? Why hasn’t anyone thought of this sooner? Salt
and chocolate go so well together, and what is more salty than a good piece of
bacon? So it would work well with chocolate? Well it works so much more than
you could imagine. The smooth taste of
the chocolate, mixed with the saltiness of the bacon, with the touch of maple.
It is an experience.
My mom said the bar remind her of a nestle crunch
bar, with better tasting chocolate with bacon making the crunch instead of the
crispies. I was also able to share some
with my co-workers, who I must admit at first were a little grossed out by the
idea of the mixing of the maple, chocolate and bacon. I said you must try it,
you will love it just try! (I should like my mother, try it you may like it) of
course I was right and they all ate it up and wanted more! Each bar retails for
$4.99
