Sahale Snacks, a great crunchy snack – Review (And a Giveaway)

Are you looking for a great snack idea, are you a salty or sweet snack lover? Well I have a great treat from the salty and sweet snack lovers, Sahale Crunchers, here is a little more information about the company  Sahale Snacks from the website:

It all started when Josh and Edmond were on a  climb up Mount Rainier in Washington State in August 2003. We had some beautiful views but nothing delicious to eat. The trail mix and stale nuts we brought on our trip helped to replenish lost energy, but did nothing to satisfy our desire for something great tasting, nutritious and as adventurous as our travels. That experience inspired us to create Sahale Snacks.

We went back to our kitchens and created unique combinations of premium nuts, dried fruits, and exotic spices, each reflecting a beautiful location, culture and/or culinary tradition somewhere in the world. We use whole ingredients in their natural form -- such as cashews, almonds, pecans, pumpkin seeds, and peanuts -- and combine them with naturally dried and preservative-free (unsulphured) fruits, then add fabulous ingredients like organic orange blossom honey, lemongrass, balsamic vinegar, Moroccan harissa or pure ground Madagascar vanilla beans. They are all natural, delicious, conveniently packaged, and full of nutrition.
Take us on your next adventure. Sahale Snacks – Snack Better™

I was very fortunate to be able to try the NEW snack the Sahale Crunchers snacks,

Almonds with Cherries, Apples & Maple - a delicious combination of sliced almonds with
naturally dried cherries and apples with a light maple glaze and a touch of cinnamon.

Almonds with Cranberries, Sesame Seeds & Honey - a delicate blend of almonds, naturally dried cranberries and sesame seeds with a light orange blossom honey glaze and pure ground Madagascar vanilla bean.

Almonds with Parmesan Cheese & Herbs - an Italian-inspired mix of almonds, tangy grated parmesan cheese, flavorful sun dried tomatoes and fresh oregano, thyme and basil.

My Review:

As soon as these interesting looking snacks arrived, my family could not wait to try them. Now these snacks are not run of the mill boring looking snacks that is for sure.  My family loves to snack, but I do not want to see them eating unhealthy food. I would much rather give them a healthy snack that they will love. Healthy snacks do exist, and I will be a fan for life of Sahale Snacks, they are amazing! There are 140 calories or less per serving.  They are a great healthy snack, that is natural and delicious. I was able to try each of the three new flavors, the Sahale Snacks crunchers, here is what my family and I thought of each flavor:

Almonds with Cherries, Apples & Maple, this was crunchy and sweet. The cherries were tart and delicious. This was a great treat to eat right out of the bag.  I used this on my plain yogurt, and it really sweetened up the yogurt. I loved the crunch, and the texture it gave the yogurt. This was my favorite of the snacks.

Almonds with Cranberries, Sesame Seeds & Honey, this was very unique I was concerned that this might not be the sweet crunchy treat I thought it would be.. because of the sesame seeds. Would the sesame seeds make this less of a sweet treat? Well I was wrong the sesame seeds worked well with the almonds and the cranberries this was crunchy and addicting, it was delicious. I used this to make something as plain as farina, an amazing dish. I loved the crunch it gave my farina, it was a wonderful topping.

Almonds with Parmesan Cheese & Herbs, now this reminded me of a delicious pasta dish. Almonds that taste like pasta? Is that possible? Well yes it is possible and it is so very good. I planned to make a delicious looking recipe with polenta and goat cheese and Almonds with Parmesan Cheese & Herbs Sahale Snacks crunchers. But my husband finished the bag before I got the chance to make it! Well he sure enjoyed this salty snack, I have to agree the parmesan flavor was strong and it was great. I will have to pick up another bag, and this time I will hide it from my hubby to make sure I will be able to make this delicious sounding recipe.

So if you are looking for a healthy snack that has some sweet and salty crunchy options I would recommend Sahale Snacks.Sahale Snacks, are gluten free, kosher and all natural. This is a great snack to eat right out of the bag, or to add as a topping. The resalable bags would be great for travel. The website has some great recipe ideas that I would love to try. I am sure you will just love Sahale Snacks crunchers.  Make sure to check them out.
