The sandwich was ok.. the fries were not seasoned in any
way, and that was a little disappointing. I was expecting a burst of flavor,
but it was just ok.
Then we head off to the Toonseum , this is a really
cool museum that celebrates cartoons! Who doesn’t love cartoons? Well we had to
visit this different museum that is for sure. My daughter had fun with the current Care
Bears exhibit, and it brought me right back to the 80’s.. I remember those cute
little bears, and I loved the show so much. My daughter got to try out a real artists desk
and had a great time.
My husband was really into the batman exhibit that they had,
the new movie The Dark Knight Rises was filmed in Pittsburgh, and they even
filmed right outside of the museum. They had “snow” a prop from the movie in a little tube (after they filmed they
scooped up the snow to sell rather than trash…) it was pretty cool. Of course
my husband bought a tube.
We visited The Heinz History Center , this is a great museum of Pittsburgh, and it had artifacts from Pittsburgh sports to the polio vaccine. My family has a great time at the museum, and my daughter just loved it. I have to say this is one of the best “adult” museums for kids. Sure there are museums that are designed especially for children, but this was a museum for adults that did not forget to make it interesting for children too. Each section of the museum has at least one small area for children. My daughter could have stayed here all day long, but we only had a short time…. Cleveland awaits! Here is a peek of some of the great items from the museum.
We had a nice little jam filled with stuff to do stop in
Pittsburgh, if you are ever in the area make sure to check it out. But watch out for those meters! It was .25
cents for 5 minutes! (in Cleveland the meters were .25 cents for an hour, wow).

You guys really get around! Pics from Toonseum are interesting. Wondering if Pittsburgh played big part in cartoons early on. Must have.
Looks like your family had a good time, with plenty to see. I can't believe the meters were 25 cents for only 5 minutes. You can bet they give out a lot of tickets.
Very cute photos! Looks like you had lots of fun
I'd go just for that sandwich!!
