Big Little Fudge, little fudge with a big taste – Review (And a Giveaway)

 

If you know my family you know we are lovers of food and sweets.  We are all chocolate lovers and we love fudge, and I have found the ultimate place for the best fudge ever! I would like to introduce you all to Big Little Fudge, here is a little more information about the company from the website:

Introducing Big Little Fudge, a great new fudge born in the little town of Montgomery, Texas, where we like to do things just a little bit bigger. So, you might be a tad confused ‘bout the small size of our Big Little Fudge. Truth is, there’s more crunchy, nutty, coconutty per square inch than a Texas mile. That’s OUR fudge factor – where small isn’t really small at all. One taste and you’ll know, we’re not messin’ around. 1 Spunky Little Fudge. 12 Seriously ‘Big’ Flavors.

I was very fortunate to be able to try a tin of mixed upfudge (well I did not eat it all myself, but I know I sure could have), well what I meant to say was my family and I had had the chance to try deliciously decedent fudge from Big Little Fudge. The fudge was shipped well and was protected from the heat, and as soon as this arrived we could not wait to try it.

The cute tin included a tasting of each flavor, here are the flavors:

Mega Maple Nut – Maple Fudge with Walnuts
‘Nut’orious – Chocolate Fudge and Walnuts

Hunka Chunka – Chocolate Fudge with Cherries and Pecans
Heavyweight Champ – Chocolate Fudge with Cranberries and Walnuts
The Great Divide – Chocolate Fudge and Peanut Butter Fudge
Colossal Cookie Crunch - Chocolate Fudge and Vanilla Fudge with Cookie Pieces
Chubby Chunk A Lot - Vanilla Fudge with Guittard Chocolate Chunks and Pecans
Big Softy - Chocolate Fudge with Marshmallows and Walnuts
Chubby Butter Nut - Vanilla Fudge with Toffee and Almonds

Fudge reminds me of visiting the jersey shore. When I was a little girl my entire family would take a vacation together each year to the Jersey Shore, I do mean my whole family, my grandparents, my aunts uncles cousins… We would rent a house and just have fun together as a family, it was like a mini family reunion each summer. And my favorite part of vacation was walking on the boardwalk in the evenings and enjoying some fresh fudge together. And when I tried the fudge from Big Little Fudge, I was brought right back to those vacations I loved, I was a little girl again.

Wow the amazing flavors, there were a lot to try but my family was up for the challenge.  Choc A Lot , this was a classic chocolate fudge, thick and sweet my daughter just loved this the best. Big League , caramel and peanuts are made to be put in fudge they just go so well together.  Mega Maple Nut , if you were having breakfast in your dreams this is what it would taste like, the maple flavor really shines through, and it reminds me of waffles! ‘Nut’orious , my husband loved this, the chocolate and the walnuts lots of walnuts a nut lover’s dream. Coconutalot , this reminded me of one of my favorite chocolate bars the Almond Joy bar, it was delicious.  Hunka Chunka , have you ever had Chocolate Fudge with Cherries and Pecans? Well before this I have not, and I have been missing out, the sweetness of the cherries and the fudge was a  great chewy combination. Heavyweight Champ , chocolate cranberries and walnut, this reminded me of a great trail mix the chocolate and cranberries were wonderful and I my mother in law loved this the most.

The Great Divide , as the peanut butter lover this was my absolute favorite. I have found that other fudge that says it is peanut butter, is in need of more peanut flavor, but not The Great Divide, the peanut butter fudge was great, it was almost like eating strait peanut butter I loved it. Colossal Cookie Crunch, cookies and fudge sure why not? The chocolate cookies gave the fudge a great sweet crunch. Chubby Chunk A Lot , this was loved by my dad, he raved about the crunchy nuts and loved the sweet flavor.
Big Softy, now if you love marshmallows this is the fudge for you with chocolate marshmallows and walnuts you just can’t go wrong.  Chubby Butter Nut, my husband claimed this one as his, he just loves Vanilla Fudge and toffee, he loved the toffee and almond crunch with this sweet treat.

Now I know what you are thinking, wow that is a lot of fudge, well it sure is and the prices on Big Little Fudge are affordable too.

I mentioned that we love fudge, but not just any fudge. I do not care for dry fudge the kind that flakes and is very dense… That kind of fudge is just not good. The fudge from Big Little Fudge is moist,  and creamy what fudge should be.

This fudge was just as good (heck it was better) as the fresh fudge I saw being made right before we ate it when I was a child.  When you bit into each the flavor filled your mouth and it was an experience you have to live to really understand.  I love the smaller sized squares, they were so much more to eat, and just the right portion. I found that this was much nicer than the long slabs I was accustomed to.  

The flavors are unique, and well thought out. This is not boring ho hum fudge that is for sure. So if you are looking for some great gift ideas, or perhaps a housewarming present. This fudge is worth ordering, I would highly recommend Big Little Fudge, the fudge you order will be like no other it will be full of flavor and yumminess.
