Yummy Dough Review-and-Giveaway

So your kids love play dough? My daughter sure loves making all kinds of creations with the dough. Did you know there is a dough like play dough, that is edible? Wow a dough you can play with and create and have fun then bake (with an adults help) then eat? Well I would like to introduce you all to Yummy Dough, here is a little information about Yummy Dough from the website:

Our Yummy Dough is a multi-purpose toy! Mixed with water the Yummy Dough powder turns into smooth, knead able, well shapeable dough which can be baked afterwards. You can eat it raw and after it is baked.
Yummy Dough was invented one rainy afternoon by Sarah and Luisa, while they were playing with regular modeling dough. Even though they were told not to put the modeling dough in their mouths, Luisa did it anyway. The result was an “Ugh!” and she looked really upset.

Both girls agreed: “We need edible modeling dough!” Together we started to mix a dough to our liking. It had to be knead able, bakeable and edible. A few months and a few messy kitchens later, we finally had it.

My Review:

My daughter loves to draw and create things, either from paper or dough. She has such an active imagination and is our little budding artist. When I had the chance to review Yummy Dough, I knew my daughter would love this. It was right up her alley.  A dough where you can have fun creating anything you want? Then you can eat it? Well she is going to love this.

And boy was I right, as soon as the package arrived she could not wait to start making things with the dough?? We started right away. The directions were very simple, the power and water, add 15ml of water to the powder in a bowl, mix well (do not add any more water)  just kneed until smooth, and dough like. In no time we had 2 balls of dough that we could create anything we wanted with. Wow, what fun… now what to make? Well my daughter made crowns, a Mrs. Packman, and much more. I had to join in on the fun, and I made some wacky items, anyone for a cookie chair? (see I told you, you can make whatever you want) or cookie broccoli, yes I was being silly but we had fun. And after we were done our masterpieces, I put them in the oven under low heat, and before you knew it our cookie art was finished.

The cookies smelled very sweet, like a sugar cookie. But they tasted less sweet, just sweet enough. My daughter loved them, and cannot wait to share her little cookie masterpieces with her friend when she comes over tonight. I am sure my daughter will love to do this dough set again, I will have to pick up another kit it was very fun. I would recommend this kit, it is easy to make, and fun to use. What would you make? The possibilities are endless.
