KT Collection Review (And a Giveaway)

 

Are you looking for a great gift for mom? Does she love jewelry, sure she does, I know my mom sure does.  How about a great handmade piece of jewelry that mom can treasure forever? Well I have come across a great site, that has handmade jewelry, and a costume jewelry line. I would like to introduce you all the KT Collections, here is a little more information about the creator and the company from the website:

The story of KTCollection's creation is as organic as the jewelry itself, which infuses classic lines with an urban flair. In 2002, Katie Thompson was working as a junior editor at a glamorous New York magazine.

To keep up with the mercurial fashion scene, she started whipping up necklaces and earrings, using everything from feathers to vintage baubles. Suddenly, editors started eyeing her creations and asking her to design items for them. And then, the word was out. Boutiques around Manhattan began carrying her work and Katie expanded her tiny stand at an East Village flea market to festivals and holiday boutiques all over the city.

Handmade line: It is made with sterling and 14-karat gold-filled chains. Pendants are sterling silver and vermeil (sterling silver dipped in gold) unless otherwise noted. Handmade pieces are designed and made in New York City.

Costume line: It is silver plated, gold plated, and brass. Our philosophy is that costume jewelry is fabulous if you want a statement piece that is just plain fun. We do not make or design these pieces. If you plan on getting something that you will wear everyday, invest in one of our handmade pieces made of precious metals for more durability and longevity.

 I was very fortunate to be able to review a pair of single gold leaf shaped earrings:

Trendy yet timeless, these leaf earrings can be worn for every season and will always be just the right touch to bring you back to nature. The Single Gold Leaf Earring is 14-karat gold-plated with 14k gold-filled hooks. They also come in silver. These light-weight dangly earrings are approximately 2 ¼” long and 1” wide. A great gift as they look good on all.

 My Review:

Well I love jewelry, I just think one piece of great jewelry can make an outfit, as a working mom I have to get dressed up each day and it is just boring at times . But when I add jewelry to my outfits I feel like I am really standing out and making the outfit matter. Jewelry is a part of my everyday life, I rarely leave the house without some type of jewelry on. It just makes me feel good, and it is a great start to the day.

I had the opportunity to do a review for KT Collections and I was so excited. There are so very many wonderful items on the site, wow what a selection. I was very fortunate to be able to review a single leaf handmade earrings.  

When the earrings arrived, they were packed in a nice box and would be ready for gift giving. The earrings themselves, are so girly very dainty. I say this as a good thing, I love the way the earrings look on. The earring are 14 gold plated, they are light and do not pull my ears down, but they are not so light that they are flimsy. They are well made earrings, that are a classic style that I will enjoy for a long long time. I wore the earrings to work, and I got a lot of complements on them, they loved the pretty leafs. I have to say I love the simplicity, they are lovely.
