Something I like in a game is simplicity. I enjoy a
challenge but I don’t want to be bogged down with a ton of rules and pieces, I
want something simple and fun. I found that with Spot It!
and on top of being simple and fun is that it’s also portable!
Spot It is a very cool game that had us playing for almost
an hour without any of us noticing, we only took notice because my daughter was
getting sleepy and we looked at the clock realizing it was well past her bed
time! It’s a game you can get lost in and my favorite aspect is that it’s all
self-contained in a cute little round tin. No pieces, no dice all you need are
the 55 cards in the tin and quick eyes.
On those 55 cards are pictures and each picture has a match and only one match you need to find as many matches as possibly. And that’s where the challenge is there are only 2 of each picture so it’s a game that forces you to use your eyes and to recognize things quickly.

This isn’t a mindless game where you move from space to
space, Spot It really challenges you to act fast to win. It’s a great way to
stimulate your mind we’re bringing it with us on the plane when we head to Disney
World next month, it’ll be a great way to pass the time and it’s better than
watching my daughter play her DS and seeing my husband’s face buried in his Zune watching Mallrats or Waiting. We
can do this together and have fun together and since I’m not the greatest flier
in the world anything to make me use my mind instead of dwelling on being in an
airplane is a bonus for me!
So if you are looking for a simple fun game that you can bring on the go Spot it! will be great for your family.
