Being from Philadelphia, I have grown up with pretzels. Pretzels are the it, thing in Philadelphia, as important as cheese steaks and Rocky. So when I found out that there was a company that made pretzel bread, I just could not wait to try it. Pretzel rolls? Wow! All of my years of being a pretzel lover, I have never had a pretzel bun. The great folks at Pretzilla, are making it easy for all folks to try these great pretzel buns themselves, here is a little information about the company from the website:
Since 1923, Miller Baking Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has been hand-crafting old world recipes. So it's only fitting we've taken a 12th-century invention -the pretzel- and turned it into the most delicious bun of our time. They're available in burger buns, sausage buns and mini buns.
I was very fortunate to be able to try each of the variety’s they offer.

My Review:
I consider myself a bit of a pretzel aficionado, being from Philly I have had pretzels regularly throughout my life. So I have had my share of pretzels, and I know what a good pretzel tastes like. I had the chance to review pretzel buns, now you would think in Philly we would have things like pretzel buns, but no. I have never seen a pretzel bun until now.
We had chicken sausage with the burger buns, my husband spiced his up a bid with some hot mustard, and he loved it. It takes a lot to really impress my husband when it comes to food, and this really impressed him. He said they were the “ultimate buns”. I have to say they worked with so many things and were just as tasty each time. We made burgers with the burger buns (living on the edge huh? Sure they can be used for many more things than burgers so get creative with them).
My daughter’s favorite of the buns were the Pretzilla Mini Buns, these buns came with coarse salt to add to the top if you so choose. (the mini buns are the only buns that come with the salt though… that would be my only issue with the buns, I would love for them all to come with the salt packet. I am sure I am bring picky, I am just used to pretzels with the salt) She loved the little ham and cheese sliders I made with the mini buns. I packed her one for lunch one day, and she said the kids at school loved it and wanted one too!
I am sure they would love it, the sandwich was kid sized and tasty. Each of the buns were great warm or cold, either way the taste was wonderful. All I have to say is where have you been all of my life! This is so much better than a plain old roll. The buns have such a rich delicious pretzel flavor that is distinct and delicious. I would whole heartily recommend this to any bread/pretzel lover this will make whatever you put in side of the buns that more delicious.

Pretzilla also sells a 3lb party Pretzel bun, now this would be an awesome addition to any party. This would make the best looking party hoagie, and I am sure it will be delicious. And people will surely remember this sandwich that is for sure.
