My daughter just loves mermaids, she just thinks they are so pretty and just plain cool. She takes after me, I loved mermaids as well when I was growing up. And you know one of her favorite Disney princess’ is a Ariel the mermaid of course.
So when she found out that she would be able to review the new Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2 she was so excited! She has been seeing the Barbie mermaid dolls commercials on TV and have wanted to see this movie for some time.
My daughter is growing up so fast it was nice to have some nice mommy daughter time together. As a working mom it is sometimes hard to make the time, but I wanted to have a special movie night with my little girl, we got comfy on the couch and watched Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2.
I have to admit that we never saw the first mermaid movie, but we had no problems getting into this movie (it is not necessary to see the first film, to understand the 2nd movie, you will not be “lost” watching this movie). This was a cute movie, that teaches you to follow your dreams, it is a good message with a cute story. My daughter loved the movie she thought Merliah was so pretty! And she asked to be her for Halloween!
As soon as we watched the movie, my daughter wanted to watch it again, and of course she asked for the Barbie Mermaid part 1 movie. Perhaps she will get a special movie from the Easter bunny in her Easter basket this year, you never know??
I would recommend this movie, it is a great film that little girls will love. This would make a great Easter basket filler, I love to give movies and games, the less candy in my mind the better.
This was my daughters first Barbie movie DVD, she loved it so much that I am sure we will be picking up future Barbie Dvd’s to add to our dvd library.
