I can admit I am a chocolate lover. To me is it the best sweet treat ever made. Now I have had a lot of chocolate in my life from sweet to salty. But I have to say I have now had the best gourmet chocolate I have ever had in my life. Yes, it is true, the best I have ever had (that is a big statement I know). At the center of all gift collections are 17 numbered chocolate recipes (Z and 0 to 15) or options of chocamandines (chocolate covered almonds), orangettes (chocolate covered, candied orange peel), chocolate truffles with praline centers, or chocolate hearts, all prepared by Pascal Caffet exclusively for zChocolat.

Packaging options range from standard ballotins to handmade mahogany boxes of various sizes and configurations. My Review:

I was very fortunate to be able to review a  Sapphire Box from  zChocolat this contained an amazing array of chocolate.  I received a sampling of the 26 French chocolates numbered from 0 to 24 plus the Z chocolate, and heart chocolates (half numbers/ half hearts) to get a taste of what zChocolat has to offer. And what they have is handcrafted French chocolate that is shipped directly from France.

When the box arrived (the box arrived very quickly, this was amazing how fast this box came and from France no less. I have had packages from Jersey take weeks to come to me) we could not wait to experience the chocolate.

The box was packed in a nice pouch with a place for a gift note that you can personalize with your order.

The chocolate came is a lovely box with my name engraved on the side of the box. How lovely. What a nice gift this would make.  There are no corners cut in the making of this chocolate,  this chocolate was smooth and absolutely divine.  My favorite was the milk chocolate hearts this was the best hazelnut filling ever. It was sweet and a little bit crunchy and salty what great chocolate candy should taste like.

 

A great feature is the wonderful booklet that explains each and every chocolate in the box. And how can you tell what you are eating, well by the number on the chocolate, or the color of the heart. It is genius! No more poking around and taking a candy you do not like (and trying to put it back…). With zChocolat you know exactly what you are getting, I love it.

So if you want to give the very best chocolate to that special someone this Valentine’s day make sure that it is from zChocolat. Your valentine will not be getting the chocolate you can pick up at a drug store that is for sure.
