very cool that they can make plastic from plants
"We utilize sustainable manufacturing and fair labor practices. The carbon footprint associated with the production and distribution of repurpose compostables is being offset with the use of renewable energy certificates." This is so important!

I learned that repurpose compostables will not degrade while on retail shelves and I learned that repurpose compostables are similar to other natural structures used for packaging, such as paper, which maintains product integrity during use.

I learned...LA stands for polylactic acid, or Polylactide, a versatile polymer. PLA is made from lactic acid. Lactic acid is made from dextrose by fermentation. Dextrose is made from starch and starch is made from carbon dioxide and water.

epurpose compostables have the flexibility to be disposed of in several manners and fits most local end-of-life schemes throughout the world. These multiple disposal alternatives mean it can play a key role in landfill diversion. repurpose compostables have been successfully composted in applications where a commercial composting infrastructure is in place
They have partnered with Reverb, Ingeo and the Carbon Fund.
