Unique Belgique Waffles – Review (And a Giveaway)

We were sent samples of the Pearl Sugar Belgian Waffle, and the classic waffles.

My Review:

Waffles are one of my most favorite breakfast food. I love to top them with fruit, or with syrup. Or just eat them plain. The waffles I love the most are homemade waffles fresh from the waffle maker. There is nothing better. Well I have found something that is very close to my grandmothers homemade waffles. Unique Belgique Waffles, they are so very delicious. Unique Belgique Waffles are sold individually and are not frozen.

I was very lucky to be able to review these delicious waffles, the Unique Belgique Waffles are light and airy and so very flavorful. My daughter was a big fan of the Pearl Sugar Belgan Waffle, it is a larger waffle with a sugar sprinkle. This is a very delicious waffle, I think this needed no additional sweet topping (no syrup needed here) I just topped mine with some fresh bananas, this was delicious.

My husband loved the classic waffles the most, he is a syrup lover and he felt theses waffles worked the best with his syrup.  I loved both waffles, they were great. But what I loved the most was, the fact that they were not frozen making them so much easier to make. This is a quick and filling breakfast for sure.

I think the Pearl Sugar Belgian Waffle  will make a wonderful waffle for waffles and ice cream! Mmmm, I can see it now, I will just warm up 2 waffles and simply serve this with vanilla ice cream as the most wonderful ice cream waffle sandwich. With the big size of the waffles, I am sure my family can share one sandwich as our dessert.

I know why the Pearl Sugar Belgian Waffle  was a 2011 Silver Finalist for a Sofi award (The Sofi Awards from the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT) are the highest honor in the specialty food industry) it is a very good waffle. That I will be sure to purchase this in the future.
