 My Review:

I am a huge fan of the Oregon Trail computer game. Being a child in the 80’s how can I not be a fan? I remember times in grade school. Now what I played in “computer” class is an entirely different game than this Wii game. It is amazing how different  and more advanced games are now, then when I was young.   The Oregon Trail, I remember was a game of sorts, but it was mostly a green screen and my character dying of dysentery. I played that old game a lot, and I never won! We never ever made it!

This game is so so much different than the green screen computer game, it is so much better. It is a little more difficult to play for me, but my daughter got the hang of it right away. Kids are so quick to learn! I love that we were able to play a game I grew up together. (please note this is game is only for one player, we just took turns). This was so much fun. And no I did not do that well… yet~ I will keep practicing and I will make it through the trail this time! I know it : )

My daughter played this for a good while, and asked if we can play this tomorrow too. I think she liked it, it seemed to be a hit.

I would recommend the Oregon Trail for, kids of all ages even big kids who grew up with the game like I did.
If you do not have a Wii and would still love to play the game, don’t worry this game is also available for the Nintendo 3D DS. And I love the price, with all of the very expensive games out there it is nice to know that there are still quality games that are fun to play and will not break the bank. The Oregon Trail for the Wii and for the 3D DS cost under $20.00 on Amazon, and that is great!

The great folks at Red Wagon Games are offering one reader of Susan’s Disney Family a chance to win a 40th Anniversary Oregon Trail game for the Wii. To enter please let me know who would just  love to play this game? There are also other ways to enter. Please enter below.

I would! I remember the old game from late 80's/early 90's...we always put our friends' names in as members of the party, then wrote goofy notes on their tombstones after they died of dysentery.
